I Haven't Done This Yet, But I Know I Should. I Like Anyone Being Able To Read My Stuff. I Write Not
I haven't done this yet, but I know I should. I like anyone being able to read my stuff. I write not only for my enjoyment, but the enjoyment of others. Having people see it is kind of the point. Yes, I know what might happen, but I haven't had the heart to make any of my stuff on ao3 only for those registered.
ICYMI, there was fear that companies were scraping public AO3 fics to train their AI without the consent of AO3 or its users. That fear has been confirmed.
AO3 has written about what they’re doing (and what they’re not able to do), and they recommend restricting your work to AO3 registered users only. [Instructions here]
This gross misuse of the archive by techbros is why I’ve locked down my fics for the foreseeable future. I recommend the rest of you do the same.

I have so many thoughts trapped in my brain and I can never write them all. You guys don't even know about everything I have planned four my Four AU over on ao3, or the insane amount of things I made that I will likely never post.
I will gladly talk about them should I be asked, but Insane Dreamtale and PID are eating me up inside. My friend wants me to work on a tiny AU I have called Under the Bed and In the Closet. It literally only has sketches and rough storyboards. I have the opposite of writers block, somebody help!!
How does one get rid of the endless flow of ideas? Is it even possible? I yearn for the days where my mind didn't constantly bombard me with new ideas and things. I want to read other people and their silly stories. I have made enough of my own. Give me a break! Just a week? Please? Somebody, tell my brain to go on vacation😭😭😭
I very much understand what you're saying, but does anyone remember the skeleton key? And how MK kinda, unlocked himself? Personal theory of mine, but that key totally unlocked the seal. I feel like, while it would have only been there for a short time, it makes sense.
If MK believes it's still there and limiting his powers to control them better, why would he worry? Like a placebo of sorts. The seal is keeping him in his own comfort zone, so it's not like he can just have too much power. It's the Monkey King's doing, some silly little key isn't going to do anything, right? And MK just continues hero-ing, none the wiser. And that's also probably how he's survived everything he's been through thus far. It also explains why the seal is never brought up again, because it's broken seven episodes in.
I mean, he's burned by the Samadhi Fire twice and survives nearly completely unscathed. That's pretty invincible if you ask me.
Crack theory:
So, between 1x01 where Wukong puts a seal on MK to limit his powers, and 1x09 where Wukong says "Look kid, using that much power—your body can't handle it." I'm wondering if the seal (which lowkey I'm kinda waiting to be brought up again) ALSO sealed away MK's Moneky form, and I'm wondering if MK broke it in 4x07 Pitiful Creatures.
