I have just been informed that Chicken Tennis is a cut scene in Dungeon Keeper 2
It is the most beautiful thing I've seen
The theatre analogy hit hard. That has happened to me before. It fucking sucks
no but really, like
i know that some folks love telling creative people that “you should be doing it for fun because you love it not for the compliments” but creative people thrive on feedback whether it’s critical or just complimentary
so when i write fanfiction and don’t get any actual feedback i feel like i spent all that time and energy doing it for nothing because i’m not getting feedback from the people i wrote it for
doing something you’re proud of and then presenting it to the sound of utter silence is like the worst feeling on earth
Today's a low brain day again. I managed to get four chapters (one for a different project each) written, three of which were posted today (one here on Tumblr, two on Ao3)
Now I've lost all motivation to do anything. I think I'm gonna take the rest of the day off...Watch some movies, maybe read. Idk. We're not gonna doom scroll, though. Did that yesterday
I'm gonna sound a little mean here, and I am absolutely being critical.
I've been reading a lot of Twin AUs in a few different fandoms (I'm even working on one) and, as I myself am a twin, it's a bit obvious which ones are being written by twins.
The biggest thing that I'm noticing is when one twin thinks the other is dead. Like, I get it, but I know when my twin is hurt, I think I'd know if she were dead. Lots of twins I know have given this same (or a similar) answer.
Please keep writing, though. Don't change anything based on what I've said. I don't want to be mean, but it's something I noticed
raise a glass to the posts you love that end up deleted. to the fanart and fanfics you lose track of and can’t locate. to the blogs you used to look through that ended up unexpectedly disappearing. to the things you didn’t archive because you always assumed they’d be there.
