Manager R Took Me Off The Shift For Today, So I Can Stay Up As Late As I Need To.

Manager R took me off the shift for today, so I can stay up as late as I need to.

What a shitty mindset that I fall into way too often.

...anywah

Yesterday, I got some frosties at Wendy's with my mom and my total (including tax) was $7.77. I have the receipt for proof if y'all don't believe me.

Because it ended up as lucky number 777, I thought I'd have at least a bit of luck.

Boy was I wrong.

I spent way too long trying to get past Level 8 of Dungeon Keeper, and I still can't get past it. And then, my cord (it's had a short for a while, but I've made it work) decided to break and try to set my pillow on fire. (It's unplugged and sitting on my floor because the floor is tile)

My eyes are starting to hurt, so I really need to go to sleep and not read or watch YT or Daredevil or Percy Jackson or work on any WIPs.

I love getting comments that say something along the lines of "I'm excited to find out what happens!" or "I'm excited to find out how this change effects canon events!"

Same. I'm excited to find out, too. Shall we continue our journey together, my friend?

I think it's funny how much my speaking affects my writing.

My region has certain sayings and traditions that the rest of the world doesn't, and I'll sometimes forget that they're purely local things, so they'll slip into stories taking place on the other side of the country or in different countries.

Same with spelling.

For choir, my teachers were always telling us to round out our vowels and links words together and that the letter s sounds bad on stage (it really does, especially in a group), so I learned a Proper British accent, It got me very far. For language pieces, I picked up a French accent.

For theatre, I had to learn different accents or voices depending on the time period, location, and age of the piece. I learned Northern Irish, Cockney, Australian, Southern American, New Jersey, Scottish, Californian, New York, German, and Russian.

Words and spellings and traditions and sentence structures and grammar, etc, from all the dialects and voices and cultures I've studied/learned like to slip into my writing sometimes and I find it entertaining.

I am very protective of my face and eyes.

You wouldn't think it, but I hate people or things getting close to my face if I don't have control over it.

Like, make up? I have to do it.

Dentists? Excluding previous trauma, they get way too close to my face with sharp objects.

Sharp objects in general are a thing I keep as far from my face as I can.

I need glasses to see and I've had them since 6th grade. I've needed them since 3rd grade, but 6th is when I couldn't play it off anymore.

Anyway, junior year (or was it sophomore?), I had to get new glasses because my prescription had gone out, making me unable to get my learners permit. (I'd only had that pair for two years by then, so it was probably the end of sophomore year)

My prescription turned out to be 20/400

For those of you who couldn't guess, that's really, really bad. Without my glasses, anything further than 6 inches from my face gets too blurry to see properly. Like, colours I can see fine, but shapes and details are all just a massive blur.

I hate when people and things get close to my face because everything I do relies on my sense of sight. Reading, writing, performing, it all depends on how well I can see.

Corners, sharp objects, fingers, hands, etc. I hate when they get close to my face. Sometimes, I hate having to look at them at all. Sometimes, I try to stay at least three feet away from those things, but it's easier said than done.

Nothing that isn't my glasses or makeup is allowed near or on my face.

I wish people would understand that

I'm working on 6 hours of sleep, I am much more amicable and smiley for today's 12 hour shift.

It also helps that I'm in the same spot as yesterday and the guys here (yesterday) bribed me with snacks if they see me today

I just info dumped the entire Robin Timeline on my mom (mixing up or missing a few details, but that's okay)

It was originally just to tell her why the name was Robin and not anything else. I kinda just kept talking and she never stopped me, so....

I only stopped because I needed to go tell my dad why Jason was killed off
