Is It Okay That I Call My Friends By Pet Names?
Is it okay that I call my friends by pet names?
(The names in question being babe, hun, sweetie, love, mate, etc.)
I always make sure that they're okay with it, but what is an outsiders perspective on this?
(Just to be clear, I won't be changing the way I speak to and about my friends. I just want to know what it might look like to someone outside my circle)

'out' in the sense that I :
openly don't want a partner,
openly don't like the idea of sex
always wear my ace ring,
and have subtle pride flag colours everywhere.
'in' in the sense that I:
avoid actually using the terminology as to avoid anyone who doesn't react positively to aspec people (they just think I'm weird for not wanting a partner and thinking sex is gross)
and use subtle pride flags so my parents don't look up the flag meaning.
My Heart still does the flutter flutter and it only increases with each comment.
Comments from the same person make me even more happy because that let's me know they're sticking through with my shit.
Comments spur me to write more. Tell me your favorite parts. What parts did you not like? What are your theories? Please, communicate with me. Do you want a beach episode?
I love getting comments on Ao3. One of my favorites is someone saying that they love that I'm giving attention to the background staff and characters that don't ever get attention.
My heart flutters every time.
(Little did the commenter know that those background characters in book one are important in book five)
My friend gave me a writing prompt. I told him I couldn't promise on the quality, but this is what I gave him:
Jason held no sympathy for the man at his feet. He'd long since lost the ability of feeling anything but rage. "I've been running on a strict no-kill rule for a while." he mumbled to himself, Just loud enough for the bastard to hear him, "Of course, I'm always up for making exceptions."
"Please!" the man groveled, blood sticking his brown hair to his face, "Please! I-I didn't know that he'd-!"
Jason cut him off by hitting him across the face with his handgun. "Don't lie to me!" he growled, "You knew exactly what you were doing when you took on the job."
The job to get under Jason's skin. The job to make Jason squirm. The job to hit Jason where it hurts. The job to take Jason's love away.
The man sobbed, his eyes glued shut from the blood, the hit only making it worse. "Please."
"Pitiful." Jason scoffed. He hulstered the handgun and pulled a knife from where it lay against his thigh. "You have thirty seconds to tell me where they've taken him or I gouge out your eyeballs and send them to your girlfriend on a silver platter." A spoon would be a better weapon for the threat, but a hunting knife would work, too. "Speak."
"Th-the docks!" the man yelled, "They took him to the docks!"
Now they were getting somewhere. "Which wearhouse?"
"The one...the one on the North end! The-the big red one!"
"Hm." Not particularly close, but Jason could make it within the hour. "Was that so hard?" It was. Betrayal under torture was still betrayal.
"Can I- Will you-"
"Let you go?"
"Please."
"Sure." Jason was nothing if not merciful. Moving to cut the ropes from the bastards wrists, he intentionally slid the blade too far with too much pressure, taking the man's thumb off. The scream was beyond satisfying to hear and Jason was relishing in it.
"Why!" his sobbing began anew, "I told you what you wanted!"
Jason wiped the bloodied blade on his black pants before replacing it against his thigh. Apathy took over as he watched the pathetic mess bleed out on the alley floor. "Whether or not you knew what you were doing doesn't change what you did." He turned to leave. "It was a grave mistake to take away the only thing I love."
My favorite of the Batfam
1. Jason
2. Alfred/Dick
3. Dick/Alfred
While we're on the topic, I am female through and through, but Jason is gender goals. Dick is also gender goals. Alfred is just goals.
My favorite Batman character:
Red Hood
Am I biased? Probably. Do I care? Not in the slightest. #JusticeforJason
