Don't buy Witch's ingredients, go on quests for them!

Don't Buy Witch's Ingredients, Go On Quests For Them!

- Black Salt: Keep salt in your ashtray and infuse it with whatever the house is smoking :)

- Cosmic Dust: Put a magnet in your rain gutter and it'll attract the tiny meteorites that fall on your roof. Takes time to collect.

- Bones: Find local hunter's drop sites for intact & well preserved bones during fall.

- Cats: Keep your bestie's claw shavings and whiskers!!

- Gems/Rocks: Search streams/wilderness in your area for pretty stones and polish them :)

- Local Herbs: Learn about your herbal neighbors and their uses. There's plenty of plant identifying apps and it's a great excuse to go outside and learn to forage for your own supplies.

- Bottles: You can literally get flat packs of mason jars for 10$. You don't need fancy witch bottles for everything babes. Most of the time I cut up an old shirt and make satchels instead, or bind ingredients in a large leaf.

Think about all the ingredients you see everyday. Crushed fall leaves or pine needles. Ocean/rain/river/snow water. Acorns, walnuts, pecans. Spit, hair, fingernails. Banana peels, apple seeds, and egg shells. You don't even need a garden, just the "weeds" growing outside your house right now. All of them have their season, purpose, and use. Make your ingredients personal to you, your area, and your experience. There's no "grocery list" for witchy shit and you never need to spend a penny when nature has everything you need right there!

*Graveyard Dirt has been removed from this list because proper conduct surrounding collecting that ingredient takes a lot to explain and I shouldn't encourage anyone to potentially do something misinformed and extremely disrespectful. It's an ingredient my family has used for years & that I personally find to be a rewarding field trip. Please look up warnings and respectful behavior surrounding sourcing your ingredients.

**Here is my informational post on research in Witchcraft. Do NOT stop your research short on one post or take any stranger online as an authority.

Simple Ways to Practice Magick Everyday

Simple Ways To Practice Magick Everyday

Say a small prayer or do a short meditation before you get out of bed in the morning.

Write down dreams or visions you had.

Stir your first cup of coffee or tea counterclockwise to banish negativity and bad luck or clockwise to bring positive energy.

Draw daily tarot or oracle cards (you can also use a pendulum) for guidance.

Cleansing yourself and home using sound or smoke.

Ancestor or spirit offerings

Pick out your clothes, shoes, jewelry... ect with intention.

Write a sigil or petition paper and burn it.

Take a ritual shower. You can spice it up with candles, herbs, and crystals, or you can simply step under the water and imagine all the negativity and bad energy washing off you. You can also recite a chant.

Every time you look into the mirror, say an affirmation

Take a walk outside and ground yourself to Mother Earth.

Dance!! Dancing is an excellent way to rise the energy, and it helps with opening the sacral and solar plexus chakra and getting in touch with the inner child.

Witches, listen to me.

It's more than ok to take a break.

It's necessary even.

I haven't done witchcraft since February, and you know what? I'm not worried. It'll be here, like it always is, when I'm all rested up and ready to jump in again.

Life happens to us all.

You don't have to practice constantly, and you're still a witch.

A masterpost digital grimoire a list of all the educational content on deities, witchcraft, and familiars I've posted!

As a key: if the post is about Loki, it is marked in green, if the post is about Aphrodite, it is marked in pink, if it is about Ares, it is marked in red, if it is about Apollo, it is marked in orange. If it is a post about familiars, it is purple. If it is general witchcraft, deities, spellwork, or religion, or advice, it is marked in blue. If it is marked with a ❗, it is a longer and more educational-based post.

This will be updates each time I post!

This is your friendly reminder that herbs aren't inherently safe.

Natural doesn't mean Safe.

Lightning is natural. Opium, therefore heroin and opiate drugs are derived from poppies. Cinnamon oil will burn your skin. Lilies are toxic to cats and will cause organ failure. Activated charcoal will neutralize your prescription medications and literally anything else in your system. St. John's Wort will destroy your serotonin production and mess with your happiness threshold if it DOESNT KILL YOU FIRST.

So anyway.

Do some damn good research every time you go to eat, breathe, bring around your pets, bathe in, or smoke something. Be safe please.
