Does anyone else get really nervous when their parents text them when they're at school. Like what happened. Am in trouble. Did my Grammy die.
In a world where there were no school shootings and teachers were paid well and Gen Alpha weren't a holy terror (through no fault of their own) I would love to be a preschool teacher. Maybe in another world those problems don't bother me and I'm teaching colors to adorable toddlers who call me Miss Via and love me.
Got Mommy Issues? I wrote this poem about mine:
Elizabeth
You carried me for nine months, but
I carried myself longer
I carried myself farther
You gave me life
A life I didn’t want
So I cut the cord that bound me to you
It’s alright, you don’t have to apologize
I know you don’t know how to love me
My laughter tears through you like bullets
My ideals cut like knives
It’s alright
I’m at peace knowing that you and I never stood a chance
He’s poison, you know and he poisoned you
You’re doomed, but I don’t have to be
I have no love for you, but
I do have sympathy
It’s alright
I wrote a fanfic to further expand on this idea. Here it is:
Gwen may have forgiven her dad for almost shooting her but there's no way in hell Hobie did. Gwen spent months away from home, and she spent most of that time with him. Hobie probably held her while she cried about what happened. There's no way he didn't verbally annihilate George Stacy when he dropped off that watch. Hobie is smart enough to know that George regrets what happened, but he absolutely does not forgive him for it.
