KLIH Valentine's WIP Bingo 2024 Wrap-Up

Many thanks to all those that participated in our WIP Bingo event these past 6 weeks. A lot of fun was had in our server with sprints, brainstorming, and wonderful support as people worked on their WIPs for Klance together.

Here are the highlights of those that posted works for this event.

Styx (Styx_the_Cryptid) also got bingo!

Vo1decho finished this WIP!

Cam (CamusTheory) did not get bingo, but did finish the last two chapters of their fic to finally mark it as complete!

Corvo (CheddarCat20) finished multiple WIPs, sharing them in this collection, and also got bingo!

AlannaGray (Alanna_Gray) finished two pieces and also got bingo!

Lollipop1141 did not get bingo, but did finish a WIP that had been sitting in their folder for 2 years!

Lilly (SilverBlue or liluger4e) did not get a bingo, but posted a new chapter of their fic and get further on other WIPs they have!

Klance Wip Bingo #7!! (Part 2)

Summary:

Word count: 1,585

Chapters: 2/3

Description:

Step one: Meet a cute barista and walk him home in the rain.

Step two: Awkwardly flirt with him in hopes he reciprocates.

Step three: Take him to an arcade and demolish him in laser tag.

My Card:

Chapter three will be the death of me.

What I’ve learned about the fandom’s perception of Nico as a Nico roleplayer

Somehow they all think that Nico is obsessed with Mcdonald’s (even though it’s the ghosts who like the food)

People WILL somehow bring up Mcdonald’s when roleplaying

There is a definite infantilisation of Nico. The amount of times I have gagged over interactions because they treat my character like a child.

If I make jokes as Nico about his lack of self care, people immediately go to pull out the “I’ll call Will” card

Y’all this is so eye opening about the true perception of Nico di Angelo. He is so fucking infantilised and it’s not cute

Klance WIP bingo #6!!

Summary:

Description:

"Name's Lance," he smirked, trying his best at flirting. Although he tried his best, he never was very good at it. "Has anyone ever told you you're beautiful?" He said lamely.

The stranger looked around as if searching for someone else, before saying, "I'm Keith." Simple, nice. "Uh, thanks?"

Another submission for the bingo done! Let’s see how many more I can get lol, I’ve got three chapters in the works!!

A lot of people put Zuko and Sokka in the 'grumpy x sunshine duo', and while I initially get this, Sokka is a goofball and a jokester, and can help unwind the group and raise spirits, don't forget that the boy can also be just as grumpy! He's sarcastic, he tends to approach a lot of things with skepticism, which can lead to him being cynical, and he's kind of a party pooper sometimes! Both Zuko and Sokka have their moment when they say "I'm never happy" which is hilarious.

Basically, both boys are different flavors of grumpy and dramatic, and I really love that. So I personally don't think the grumpy and sunshine trope really fit those two. This isn't the "black cat and golden retriever" trope, this is "black cat and orange cat". They're both assholes.
