Ok recently I've been thinking: Aphrodite is a goddess of love and war right? I like the idea of her taking the most attractive form depending on who she's talking to, but does that mean Aphrodite can become a man in front of a heterosexual woman? Is there a myth of genderfluid Aphrodite?! (Also her design in Hades game is just 🥰)

Weird potential cryptid au thing?

I've had this idea for a while now, I don't know if you can really call it a "cryptid au" but I didn't know what other name to give it.

So imagine a universe where certain humans or animals can enter into connections with an element (example Bruce with Gotham) to become a kind of creature that represents it. To give you an idea, imagine if by devoting his life to Gotham Bruce BECOMES Gotham. Like he loses a little of his humanity and Batman literally becomes a mystical creature with strange powers that people talk about like an urban legend. And if we follow this path, imagine that the Robins, the Batgirls and other sidekicks become the same by joining the Batfamily? Which now leads me to my basic idea:

Ra's could not stop, for years he bathed in the Lazarus Pits with the hope of entering into connection with them, but never succeeded. It drove him crazy. Then Ra's had a daughter, a daughter he thought worthy of the one thing he was not capable of, but a daughter who also failed, rejected by the healing waters of their family. This girl also had a child, a glimmer of hope, the son of an assassin and a being who managed to link himself to what was dear to him, but a son who attached himself to something different. And when all was lost, when Ra's sank into madness, Talia did not accept: she took a courageous soldier, a soldier who died for nothing, a soldier who would have a chance, a soldier who was welcomed with open arms.

Red Hood, incarnation of the Lazarus Pit was born.

AJSHAJAJASJS WAIT- I keep imagining the kids Jason takes care of calling him 'Tiger' because of his scars 😭✋

Like one of the street kids happens to catch him with his jacket off so they can see the scarring on his arms and their first reaction is basically "Wow! You have stripes, like a tiger!"

And Jason is obviously a little surprised considering the usual response to scarring in general is far less positive, but he just kinda shakes it off and is all "Yeah, sure kid.. Tiger.." And doesn't think anything of it.

Until all of the kids suddenly start calling him Tiger and keep asking to see his 'stripes' and now the majority of them greet him with a little tiger 'Rawr!' Whenever they see him, and he's honestly flattered af because he thinks it's adorable-

The denial

I always hated the fact that we never saw (at least not to my knowledge) Dick's reaction to Jason being alive and Red Hood. But I always found hilarious the idea that he was in complete denial because his little brother who was only 4'6 the last time he saw him is now an absolute tank of a man at the height of 6'4 ( headcanon) and is at least two heads taller than him.

I imagine the scene going like this:

Dick: Is everything okay? What's the emergency?

Bruce: Ah there you are, I have an... important announcement to make...

Dick panicking slightly: What is it?

Bruce: Well...

Jason who comes out of the shadows still in his Red Hood suit but without the hood on: Sup Dickhead...

Dick with his eyes wide open and looking at Jason up and down: ...

Jason: Look I know I have a lot of explaining to do but-

Dick: No.

Jason: What?

Dick: You're not Jason.

Bruce: I know it's probably upsetting but I assure you Dick, I've done some testing and it's the real Jason.

Dick: No. No he's not my LITTLE brother.

Jason: Wait... You're not denying my existence and my life because I'm bigger than you now are you?

Dick: I refuse! Never!

Bruce: You can't be serious Dick.

Dick: Never! He's my little brother and he has no right to be bigger than me!

Jason: Dick I'm even bigger than Bruce.

Bruce: No you're not.

Bruce looks at Jason and realizes that he is in fact taller than him: Who are you and what did you do to my adorable little sunshine boy?

Jason: SERIOUSLY!?

Old art redraw!

Hey guys, I've been having a bit of a hard time drawing latelly because I felt like I wasn't making any progress in my art so I decided to redraw some old drawings of very old OCs to boost me up!

These are the four options I have:

Jason Todd voice

I personally headcanon Jason to have a really deep voice, not as deep as Bruce but somewhere near while my friend thinks he has more of an in-between voice. What do you guys think?

Dragon blood au!

Being half-dragon comes with its downsides. Of course Damian and Jason love looking more impressive than the rest of the Batfam when they're in dragon form (and so does Bruce, but he'll never admit it). But for every big feeling they feel their reptile parts answer the call faster than Alfred in the kitchen when he learns that Bruce is trying to make food.

For example:

Jason: Laughing and almost choking after seeing one of Roy's inventions blow up in his face.

Roy: Wiping his face "That's not funny Jaybird!"

Jason: Still dying of laughter when he hears the sound of clothes tearing appart. “Shit.”

Jason: Looking down at his feet to see the bottom of his pants and his shoes totally torn as his legs turned into dragon paws. "Again!?"

Or:

Damian: Annoyed because he can't paint correctly the idea he had for one of his drawings.

Damian: Breaks his brush in two before realizing that his hands have become all scaly and clawed. "Father! I'm going to need a new brush!"

Bruce: "Again!? I bought you a whole kit last week!!"

Jason Todd Writers

One thing I hate seeing in the comics is how Jason's planning side has been erased so quickly. In Batman under the Red Hood we see a Jason who spends years of his life planning how to take control of crime rings without Batman even realizing it. This man spent years planning every little detail of his big comeback! Jason Todd doesn't rush in like a bully! He plans each of his movements, each of his missions is calculated!

But no! "Jason Todd must be the one who's pissed all the time! The one with anger issues" when we all know that the member with the biggest anger issues is Dick!

Jason has managed to thwart so many security systems! Don't tell me that he did that without having planned in advance how many cameras there would be, how many guards etc...

Please writers, stop writing Jason as a brainless brute and give him back his planning side😭😭

Dragon blood au!

In a universe where the Lazarus Pit is made of dragon blood (which is a species that disappeared years ago), people coming into contact with it develop physical traits identical to the animal and their emotions are increased tenfold.

Jason Todd thought he had escaped this effect because he only entered it once, but two months after his resurrection he woke up with a toothache so bad he couldn't even speak. He quickly realized that he was bleeding from his gums and when he looked in a mirror he realized that his teeth (especially his canines) had become longer and much sharper! Since then the effects of the Lazarus Pit have manifested themselves more and more, horns had grown on his head, his nails had transformed into claws, some scales had appeared on his skin (very little so he can hide them), and a tail had formed at the end of its spine.

Fortunately for Jason these effects can be hidden (not erased according to Talia) with emotional control. Learning to calm his temper was more complicated than Jason expected, which allowed him to plan his comeback so well. When Jason finally agreed to return to the Batfam he kept his new appearance a secret for a long time. Dick, Alfred and Bruce were also surprised to see him so calm since he couldn't get angry without revealing his secret.

He managed to keep his human appearance until one winter at the manor when Jason's body could no longer stand the cold and decided on its own to make him regain his dragonish appearance to keep him warm. Only Damian didn't react to that while the others looked at Jason speechless since he had grown up with Jason in the league for several years and he too had a dragonish appearance having also been placed in the Pit but also never told anyone because : "it wasn't important."

DC Oc!

Like some of you may already know I've been doing a serie of the creation of a Batfamily oc on Tiktok that I started posting on Tumblr last week.

Today is the day we talk about Ayla Sinclair's backstory!

Do you think the members of the Bat Family are surprised when they learn that one of them can sing? Especially since some are more surprising than others! I mean Jason? No one expects this tank on two legs to be able to sing well when in reality he's the biggest theater kid in the family!

Imagine:

Jason: Singing Where is the Justice from death note the musical in the kitchen with a bowl of dough in hand and a wooden spoon as a microphone hitting each note so perfectly that it would be considered a real musical.

Tim: Had just come to get a glass of water but is now even more afraid of his brother who not only smokes but has already had a batarang down his throat. How is this humanly possible!?

Of course I'm sure that other members can sing extremely well like Duke for example but Jason would be the most unlikely of them. Imagine him scaring Dick in the middle of the night by singing Hoist of the colors in the shadows!

Here's an old one I posted on Tiktok a while ago:

A few weeks after Ayla's arrival at the mansion, the batkids quickly noticed her resemblance to a Viking warrior. Whether it was her impressive muscles, her Mohawk braid or the Viking symbol tattoo on her arm, everything could make you think that she is a Valhalla warrior. So they secretly started calling her Valkyrie until Jason started openly calling her that. This nickname has stuck ever since.

Duke already asked her why she wore her hair like that, she simply replied that she found it badass.

BONUS!

Ayla's size has never been defined, which makes her difficult to draw next to other members of the batfamily.

Hello! This is my first post on Tumblr! You might (not) know me from Tiktok with my acount @the_crazy_bat. For about 6 weeks now me and my followers (more like three peoples) started creating the oc you can see up there named Ayla Sinclair from the DC univers. I haven't been receiving loads of comments so I hope I can make myself knowed a little better here!

So far Ayla Sinclair is a 22 woman with a pretty muscular physique wich is why many people think she's a man at first glance. She often braids her hair in a Mohawk style and has two tatoos : one on the left arm wich is a snake with lotus flowers to represent a new start in life and the second is a Viking symbole meaning family on her wrist. Her weapon is a boo staff like Tim but she doesn't use it for defense, she more often use it to attack and even comes down to hand-to-hand combats. This result in her having way more scars and a burn on the top of her body then on the bottom. Her personality is ratter a tough one on the outside but she can be very sweet on the inside once she knows you're someone safe. She has brown hair and blue eyes and her hero costume is black and green with camouflage parts on it.

Today I posted a video on Tiktok asking for people to complet her backstory in the comments. I would like to ask you the same and tell what you think her backstory should be (there's no too much details!)

I will come back next week to ask for three more questions about her and if everything goes well, we might creat a Super friend for her!
