Stop Telling People Who Have Abusive Parents To Just Leave After They Turn 18!!!!!!! Its Not That Fucking
stop telling people who have abusive parents to “just leave” after they turn 18!!!!!!! it’s not that fucking simple!!!!!!!!!
i’ve been an adult for two years now and i STILL live in this hell hole. you know why? CONTROL. you can’t just walk out of the house and never look back like they do on tv. it doesn’t work that way. you take documents with you (that, if your parents are anything like mine, are locked up tight in a safe), you have to have enough money and a stable job and a place to go (which most victims are unable to get jobs due to mental/physical health or parent control), you have to move all your things out of their name (phone, car, etc). the list goes on. don’t you dare tell an adult victim that they’re just “not helping themselves”. i’m tired of hearing it.
adult victims of abusive parents: your abuse is still valid and i promise you there are those of us who understand and care.
(and before you try and pull the “here’s some suggestions” shit, my doctor has already met with a social worker with me. i’m stuck here for the time being. thanks for your concern but fuck off.)

Sorry creators but if you make a “haha they’re boyfriends/girlfriends/partners” joke to laugh at the gays, you’ve just made your characters canonically gay. No jokes just gay characters now.

this is the scariest tweet ive ever seen reading this made me feel like im in the twilight zone
if someone whitewashes beau then the art shouldn’t be put in the art stream ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hello, I was the op of another post sharing a two-spirit flag but I later found out the creator holds harmful beliefs against other lgbt folks so I’ve decided to make my own. I wanted to create something with meaning as well as something that would be an easier design to create with art/merch.
In the back there are 9 colours; four on each side of a brown stripe representing indigenous people as being Two-Spirit is directly tied to our indigineity.
Not only do the colours express the variance in feminine gender identity on the red to grey side but the red represents the strength of femininity, the pink represents boldness, the light pink represents kindness/compassion and the grey represents a blank slate where we make our own definitions.
Not only to the colours express the variance in masculine gender identity on the blue to grey side but the dark blue represents the strength of masculinity, the medium blue represents learning and seeking truth, the light cyan represents vulnerability/gentleness and the grey represents a blank slate where we make our own definitions.
The triangle with the four colours symbolizes the medicine wheel: the four directions, four sacred medicines, four main teachings, four seasons and the four stages of life.
The green circle represents yourself, balance and harmony and connection with our home Mother Earth.
I made two versions of the flag, one of how it would look exactly as a flag and another so it can be used for square merch or art.
everyone PLEASE reblog. Indigenous lgbt folks should see that we can use our own flags and symbols as well as everyone should know that we don’t have to settle for creators who are harming others in our community.
If there are any critiques from fellow indigenous people, feel free to get in contact with me but otherwise I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT (looking at you white people who said unwanted/useless things on the last post).
Thank you!
