I just fucking realized the line from Captain Silvier,

"There is no way you are willing to protect a person you just met from trained assassins" could be a reference to Frozen

With the iconic line from Elsa,

"You can't marry a man you just met"

I would've never suspected that in a silly little creature collecting game. The character we play as, would be a puppet and an entirely different entity from us. As we an otherworldly being, aka a God. Give them strength and knowledge in battle to make them unbeatable. Didn't have that in my bingo but alright.
