could you link us to some our fave steve writers and your fave steve fics?

The easiest way to find my recommendations is to search my #fic rec tag. I admittedly do not read many Steve fics because I spend the bulk of my time writing for the character. I almost exclusively seek out and read Billy works and my favourite Billy authors are @wearemightyghosts and @hotstuffhargrove however, they will post Steve once in awhile and I highly recommend reading those pieces. I also enjoy @moirasimagines Steve series and my girl @whatsaweasley0 who writes great Steve x OC.

drug addicts (who need help + support, not prison time)

poc who get arrested 4 doing things white people would never get arrested 4 doing

rape/incest/abuse/etc victims who kill their attackers (self defense)

homeless people who are just chilling + not doing anything illegal (like a homeless person is just sleeping + the cops arrest them 4 some dumb reason)

a lot of people, actually (ex. people who steal like a single apple bc they’re starving, people who take animals from abusive owners, squatters, undocumented immigrants with no/minor criminal records, prostitutes + sex workers, poor people, the mentally ill, etc)

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately, and i miss these kiddos, so here’s a Steve Harrington x oc! head canon for y’all:

beth has this poster up in her room- right between one of johnny depp and like 20 of michael j fox, mind you

as seen in s1 especially, steve’s insecurities often play out in the form of jealousy and rash conclusions that interfere with his relationships, and after overhearing two girls comparing billy hargrove to the guy from st. elmo’s fire, he never wanted to see that stupid thing again

he pulls away from her sweet strawberry lips, pouting and glaring daggers at her lilac walls

“hey beth? who’s that” ‘…rob… you mean rob lowe?’ does that earring look familiar?” etc

she’s not about to let him feed into that side of himself bc it’s only a poster of freaking rob lowe, not a polaroid of some guy she met at the hawk. it’s bc she understands the real reason he doesn’t like it

she ends up taking it down, folding it in half, and stuffing it into her whiny boyfriend’s fists.

she’d never admit it, but beth thought it was kinda cute that steve was jealous. besides, she’d always been more into back to the future than the outsiders, anyways
