I am writing to share my personal struggles in the current situation in Gaza. I am a young man responsible for caring for my elderly parents, who suffer from arthritis, and this is exacerbated by the onset of winter.

I need support and assistance to provide a more comfortable environment for my parents during this winter, whether in terms of heating or medical care. Any form of assistance would go a long way in improving our situation.

The current situation is very difficult, as we face great difficulties in securing our basic needs. Winter adds additional challenges for us, as the pain my parents are suffering from requires special care and the provision of heating, which is made even more difficult by the difficult economic circumstances we are experiencing.

israel's invasion of jenin is so aggressive and inhumane that it speaks volumes how underreported it is in mainstream media. blocking aid from the refugee camps (classic starvation tactic), displacing at least 20 families in the last 24 hours alone, and now setting fire to jenin's market. they are razing streets with bulldozers. people are left without electricity, food, or water. and now they're targeting ambulances and medical staff without even trying to pretend it's erroneous or they're just terrorists. this is what complete impunity looks like

It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraiser on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. perhaps the decent amount of notes on my post for leena's campaign is making people think that others are donating to her? or perhaps everyone has genuinely gone completely broke. i don't know. it's not really getting anywhere regardless of the reason. every day i wish i had better news for her.

i'm not sure what to say. leena is an engineer, like her mother, like my mother. she's quick witted and funny when she has the energy to be. she's been sick for a long time. she's honest with her feelings. she's thanked me for not getting bored with her several times now. it breaks my heart to think she'd expect me to. when she was attacked and separated from her family, she messaged me crying, and for a whole century long day i was terrified, completely terrified that i was the last person she ever messaged. she reminds me of my little sister so much it hurts.

i'm not willing to give up on her or her family. please help her reach her campaign goal. it's not that far. all we need is for the support to be consistent.
