Tommy Merrick, at the Veldigun: Iâm way too sleep deprived to be dealing with your negativity right now.
I literally drew this meme from memory

everything ive drawn on the whiteboard so far (I think) (the last one is my first lyric art for pre-Clarisse/post-Jen Jinx! or middle staged jinx. the lyrics are from Liquid Smooth by Mitski) @corrupteddoodles

+ some stuff that made me jump around in happiness in my room :3 (almost exclusively mortimer I know, execute me if you must)

bonus some brainrot over mortimer and Alex being friends with an offsite creator named persona, where mort and alex think the other is freaking dead but no there were just veldigunified and they do the Spiderman thing after seeing each other again lol. their art slaps omg (they also drew my veldi Alex v well :3)

In a timeline where Mortimer's health starts to rapidly decline, he's forcibly taken to the Lankmann Asylum for further observations. In his confinement, Mort begins to hear a voice.

Heâs a girl boss he canât help it

Lankmann Foundation, 555-0100!
actually this is an edited version of a whiteboard doodle i made!! for anyone curious here's the og:

Better yet- I wasnât expecting to make two posts in which I angrily ranted about how little sense Lankmannâs Asylum makes, especially not in the span of fifteen minutes, but better fucking yet-
Why would Lankmann specifically tell his employees that the goggles prevent visual hallucinations when those employees, of all people, should know that thatâs something a Veldigun can cause?!
If the running theme we saw with Alex holds any truth to it and all his employees are major witnesses to Veldigun incidents (with âmajorâ meaning âwas interviewed on the news once about the time he saw six mothers freak out on Halloweenâ, but you get the idea), then shouldnât they be able to make that fairly obvious connection?!
You know what, is Lankmann even trying to keep Winfrey a secret?! Or is it all just some fun game to him, and that is why he was so nonchalant when Alex entered Room 66? Was he, like, making bets with the Caretakers about how long it would take for people to find out about the 14-foot demon that heâs been feeding innocents to?!
Randy Feltface was right. Canadians are fucking idiots.

The nazis that you see in movies are as much a historical fantasy as vikings with horned helmets and samurai cutting people in half.
The nazis were not some vague evil that wanted to hurt people for the sake of hurting them. They had specific goals which furthered a far right agenda, and they wanted to do harm to very specific groups, (largely slavs, jews, Romani, queer people, communists/leftists, and disabled people.)
The nazis didn't use soldiers in creepy gas masks as their main imagery that they sold to the german people, they used blond haired blue eyed families. Nor did they stand up on podiums saying that would wage an endless and brutal war, they gave speeches about protecting white Christian society from degenerates just like how conservatives do today.
Nazis weren't atheists or pagans. They were deeply Christian and Christianity was part of their ideology just like it is for modern conservatives. They spoke at lengths about defending their Christian nation from godless leftism. The ones who hated the catholic church hated it for protestant reasons. Nazi occultism was fringe within the party and never expected to become mainstream, and those occultists were still Christian, none of them ever claimed to be Satanists or Asatru.
Nazis were also not queer or disabled. They killed those groups, before they had a chance to kill almost anyone else actually. Despite the amount of disabled nazis or queer/queer coded nazis you'll see in movies and on TV, in reality they were very cishet and very able bodied. There was one high ranking nazi early on who was gay and the other nazis killed him for that. Saying the nazis were gay or disabled makes about as much sense as saying they were Jewish.
The nazis weren't mentally ill. As previously mentioned they hated disabled people, and this unquestionably included anyone neurodivergent. When the surviving nazi war criminals were given psychological tests after the war, they were shown to be some of the most neurotypical people out there.
The nazis weren't socialists. Full stop. They hated socialists. They got elected on hating socialists. They killed socialists. Hating all forms of lefitsm was a big part of their ideology, and especially a big part of how they sold themselves.
The nazis were not the supervillians you see on screen, not because they didn't do horrible things in real life, they most certainly did, but because they weren't that vague apolitical evil that exists for white American action heros to fight. They did horrible things because they had a right wing authoritarian political ideology, an ideology that is fundamentally the same as what most of the modern right wing believes.
A little Jewish joy this Rosh Hashanah:
Before the kids left the service for activities, our rabbi let them come up and sit on the steps to talk with them. After, she asked one of the kids if he wanted to blow his shofar again (he'd blown it to open services). He said he wanted his little brother to blow it. So he helped his 4 year old brother to hold up the huge ram's horn and the little guy successfully did it! Everyone laughed and applauded and smiles were abound as the kids left.
I know this kid a little; he's so proud he's Jewish and was so excited to start Hebrew school last year. Just happy to see our future is so bright.

Shanah tovah!!! May 5785 be filled with sweet wishes, everlasting hope, and peaceful blessings. đđŻâĄď¸

DOAI SPOILERS :3
(Okay so in this context Alex is developing veldigun sickness AGH)
Alex slumps home, their paranoia has been..getting the better of him. All their thoughts have become a jumbled mess of sounds that donât even vaguely resemble speech. Watching every single car that even happens to go in their general direction before speeding off. They knew Lankmann was onto him, they were sure of it. Its just, why he was waiting so longâŚ?
The squeak of the door that theyâve opened at least a thousand times to get to their apartment room is only now starting to get on their nerves, the slow pain thats developing in his knees. It was like they could barely walk anywhere without feeling some kind of pain. They felt like shit, to say the absolute least. Crashing down on the cheap mattress, Alexâs mind doesnât exactly know where to go now, what exactly would they think about? The fact the man they were unintentionally helping sacrifice people to some monster was going to kill them? How nice. They cough burying their face into the crook of their arm. âThe weathers getting colderâŚitâs only a cough.â They thought to themselves. As if trying to convince themself of something. As if there was a hang of dread they couldnât feel, Alex leaned against the wall, tired but not quite enough to sleep, unfortunately. They coughed again, and then again. And soon found they couldnât stop. Each one more violent, more painful than the last. So hard they begin to tear up.
Alex shoves open the door to the bathroom and hangs over the sink. Staring into the mirror as the flickering light fights to illuminate their surroundings. Before coughing, choking. Harder than they ever had. Alex opened their eyes and stumbled back upon what they saw in the sink. Blood, Alex had coughed up blood.
âNo..no no no no..â
They repeat to themself, pacing around the small room for a moment before pausing. Looking down at their arms, then into the mirror. Theyâve lost so much weight, and their skin is becoming a sickly pale. They fall, just barely catching themself on the sink. The horrific realization theyâve come to leaves them in a state of animalistic panic. Lankmann wasnât going to kill them, he was going to let them die. They cough more, the metallic smell of blood was hitting their nose was making them even more nauseous. They turn the sink on and splash the cold water on their face. As if that would do something, anything. But it doesnât. Alex falls back against the wall, their breathing is labored and hard. Not helped by how clogged their throat felt. They thought they were just going to be killed but this is so much worse. Alex tilts their head back against their breathing wasnât slowing down, it was so rapid. Only occasionally interrupted by the violent coughing. Their heartbeat was a clumsy banging drum that played in their ears. Their whole body was shaking, thoughts were running around their mind at a thousand miles a minute and almost nothing could break past the wall of their mind and escape through their mouth.
âI donât want to die..â
Alex paused, almost covering their mouth as they heard themself say that. Their shakey breathing was slowing but didnât stop. They lean back against the wall, the last thing they ever wanted was to show fear. Even completely alone, even in the security of their own falling apart room. They wanted to be brave about it the last thing they wanted was to admit on any other level other than subconsciously. That theyâre afraid, terrified. Theyâre still young, they still have so much life ahead of them⌠Alex hunches over staring at the ground, they hold themselves and a feeling of defeat washes through their mindâŚ
The sound of Alexâs breathing is the only one that hits their ears, the room is so quiet, but Alexâs thoughts are screaming, yet somehow, still so vague and hard to make out. Theyâre completely spaced, they stand up. Their legs shake violently, but they walk forward anyways. Staring into the mirror for a fleeting second before looking straight back down into the overrun sink that theyâd forgotten to switch off. They do so and a silent sigh rolls out of their breath. Unsure of what to think, of what to do. All they know is to walk forward anyways.
