I think that in this AU Nya might've connected herself to the Amulet of Wave, not only to connect herself to Wojira, but also to make herself stronger.

I have come to debate.

Okay yes, Kai as the team medic would make sense. Not only does he have medical knowledge, she is protective of her teammates and he probably learned how to use medical supplies because he was a blacksmith.

But what about Zane and Pixal?

I seriously doubt Kai has enough knowledge on tech to be able to repair the two of them (especially Zane, because they die too much)

So I propose either Jay as the medic for the whole team, or he and Kai work together. Jay, like Kai, grew up learning how to make things and needed to learn how to use medicine and medical supplies. Plus Jay is a mechanic, which solves the Zane and Pixal problem.

(He/she for Kai, they/them for Zane and he/they for Jay, sorry about the confusion and how I worded it)
