am I literally the only one who’s undisturbed by this and is, in fact, in literal tears over the sheer fucking hilarity of it? because this is arguably one of the funniest fucking things I’ve ever heard.

Sir Terry Pratchett’s fantasy writing, I’ve found thus far, could reasonably be passed off as a version of the Lord of the Rings series written essentially from scratch by Monty Python and Douglas Adams.

Describing Terry Pratchett’s books is difficult. Someone asked me what the book I was reading was about, and I had to tell them it was about banking and the gold standard, but like in a cool way with golems and action. 

 I don’t think they believed me.
