Yoongi’s rare days off from any kind of schedules are something you covet and cherish more than anything else in the world. He’s usually beyond exhaustion, slumped over and dragging his feet if any kind of movement is necessary. But you don’t mind. Your days of nothingness with Yoongi are special because you get to simply be with him. Taking naps are special because you’re wrapped around each other. Watching movies is special because not only do you have the privilege of being pressed so closely against him on the sofa, but every now and then he’ll gasp, giggle, or even sniffle and then cough as if you hadn’t just caught him crying. Just having each others undivided focus and attention for a solid twenty-four hours was more than enough to keep you sustained until the next time he was able to freely occupy your couch.

Unfortunately for Yoongi, today’s day off would not be that kind of day.

“Fatality!” you cheer victoriously, one hand gripping the controller whilst the other pumps a celebratory fist in the air. On the television, a quick animation shows half of a man’s face sliding from his skull, sparing not a single bit of the gore you would assume is involved. Beside you, a fork clatters nosily onto a plate. Yoongi’s frustrated groan follows after.

“Can’t you take a break? Do you really have to play this while I’m eating?” he whines, eyebrows furrowed in annoyance. Your eyes flash to the screen, the game introducing your next opponent. Your finger hurriedly smashes the button to pause before you miss any sort of dialogue.

Being a cliche wasn’t your intention.

Then again, neither were your feelings.

He was the embodiment of light, the manifestation of the sun - so radiant that it hurt sometimes to look directly at him. His features were soft and graceful with the exception of his eyes - so sharp, always seeing. Golden skin and sun-bleached hair framed that potent gaze, and though you were always so careful, controlled, restrained - he was the one who continuously saw straight through the core of you, who broke down every single wall you’ve ever built.

Yoongi was the seed of Helios, the progeny to the sky of day - the Guardian of the Sun. Which meant he was everything you were not, as a faithful disciple to Selene - the goddess of the moon. 

It was innocent when it began, the training classes mandatory for all demigods and those who serve them. Sun and Moon folk coexisted in a complex harmony, appreciating the other for filling the gaps in their own abilities. The people from the Sun were usually too bright - too boisterous, too power hungry - for your liking, an invisible line drawn in the sand. But Yoongi, he had been none of those things. 

He exuded calm strength, spoke thoughtfully. All elegance  and quiet dominance and ferocious wit; there was no need to act out - it was known. He was all the things everyone born blessed by the Sun should be. He shone without trying. He shone by being himself.

You had been a moth drawn to his flame. 

Perhaps that’s why you had found yourself in his bed; from the need to always be closer, to have more of him. He was all the things you were not, all the things that you needed to feel whole - something you only learned once he first thrust inside you, his mouth murmuring sweet praise into your ear. The only time the world felt at balance was when you were loving Yoongi.

“It’s freezing in here.”

“No it’s not. You’re being dramatic again.”

Huffing, you slide the soles of your feet until they’re pressed against one of Jungkook’s sweatpant clad thighs. “I’m never dramatic literally ever. Feel my toes,” you wiggle them, giggling when he squeaks at the pinch. 

“Why do you always want me to touch your feet? Listen, baby, if you have a foot fetish, we can discuss some boundaries-”

“Jungkook!” you yell, laughing when he grabs your feet, tickling them briefly before slowly squeezing. His hands were so warm, which was a gentle reminder that your husband was practically a human furnace. 

Scooting closer to him, you fling your legs completely in his lap, sighing with relief when large palms slide up and down your legs, the friction warming your bones. You were always cold, no matter what the weather, but it was one of the many quirks that Jungkook loves about you - and loves teasing you for. Nuzzling into his side, you rest your eyes in the cozy peace of the moment before Jungkook shouts, plopping your legs to the couch to stand.

“I have an idea!”

You scoff. “Is your idea microwaving my socks again? Because they almost caught fire last time and it was awful-”

“No! This idea is way better,” he grins, winking at you before darting away.
