So basically, if I wanted a higher chance to be in congress, I need to somehow become and old white man who’s a millionaire, and who doesn’t have a shred of common sense.

I LOVE MYSELF AND EVERYONE HERE SHOULD TOO

Like I’m not athletic or smart or skinny or pretty.

But you know what I am?

I’m socialable and really really energetic.

However, I also have a short temper and I’m highly emotional, and I’m really likely to snap in a few moments. I often make myself believe that I’m not good enough. I underestimate myself because there are better people around me.

I’m a flawed person. Everyone is. There’s not gonna be a perfect person. Ever. It’s time more people saw that they were already great. We don’t need people to tell us all our faults. We already know most of them.

People are literally teaching us to hate ourselves for not being good enough. If you’re a girl, you’re taught that being skinny and being quiet and subdued is good. Be loud. Be confident. You’re you and why should anyone else tell you how to live your life?

Boys are being taught that have to be “manly” from a young age. If you’re a six year old and you like flowers? You’re probably gonna get teased by all your male friends. If you wanna wear eyeshadow and make up, go for it! It’s your life and no one can tell you what to do.

It doesn’t matter if you like guys or girls, or if you like both or neither. It doesn’t matter if you’re arabic, hispanic, white, asian, indian, or whatever. At the end of the day, you’re still you and you shouldn’t live life because of what some other douche bag thinks.

Okay I could go on and on about this stuff but I think this post is starting to get really long and I’m pretty sure I got my point across.

Things Most Asian Parents Do

I have compiled a small list from my friends and my sister.

- Collect hotel shampoo/conditioner bottles for future traveling purposes

- Physically fights to see who can give waitress/waiter their money first

- Takes pictures of their food to make their friends jealous

- Spend 90% of their phone time on WeChat

- However much time they said that they were gonna spend at a place, multiply it by 3
