Jungkook instantly brushed away the heartbreak he felt after you decided to end the sex partnership. He’s your friend, he just thought that at the moment his tired brain mixed everything up, confusing friendship with love.

However, when you explained to him the reasons behind your decision, he felt hurt that you didn’t think that he could be a fit for you. It hurt to know that you never imagined him as more than just your friend.

Honestly, a huge part of him is going to miss having sex with you. Together, you were wild, never scared to experience new things. He’s aware that it’ll be hard to find someone like you, it’s definitely going to be hard for him to turn the page but he has millions of girls at his feet ready to give him whatever he desires. So he’s for sure going to take advantage of the situation.  

“Everything is okay between you and Yn?” Jimin asks while the boys start getting ready for tonight’s show.

Jimin isn’t facing him and he can’t see how broken Jungkook looks. His heart inevitably squeezes every time he thinks of you or when someone brings your name up. This new reality where you’re not as present in his life as you used to is something he still needs to adjust to. Every time he looks around him in his dressing room, he feels like you’re going to appear with a bright smile on your face.

Damn, that smile always lights up your face so much. He would always make sure that it would never fade away because never before had he seen anything prettier.  

“Yeah, why?” He asks, shrugging before turning around to face his friend.

“For the past week, she hasn’t been around at all.”

It has been a full week since you put an end to this. The longest week of his life. The days never seemed to come to an end as his mind was constantly going back to all those incredible moments you spent together.

“We just stopped this sex thing, but we’re still friends.”

To be completely honest, he hasn’t spoken to you for the last week so he doesn’t know where the two of you are at the moment. Hopefully, you’ll remain friends, because completely losing you is something he’s simply not ready for.

“I thought some weird shit was going on between the two of you,” he says before stopping for a little while, his eyes glancing at his friend’s face. His heart starts beating extremely fast, his mind wondering if he really needs to tell him what is on his mind. “She’s coming tonight, I don’t know if she told you.”

Jimin wasn’t surprised at all by your text yesterday, you frequently talk together but what surprised him was your request. You asked him if he could give you two tickets for tonight’s show, apparently for a date. At first, he thought it was to surprise Jungkook but when he asked you why you didn’t hide the reason.

He didn’t understand how everything went from being super great with Jungkook to you being on a date with someone else. Jimin has noticed the way you two were around each other, and he always believed that at some point, the two of you would realize that there’s more than friendship between you.

But now, he wonders if you’ll ever realize it.

Jungkook simply can’t believe what his friend just revealed. You didn’t ask him anything nor did you say you were coming. For the past year, you’ve been coming to most of their shows, supporting them no matter what was going on between the two of you because first and foremost you are a fan of the band.

When he’s on stage, he always finds you and spends the entire show looking at you. There is a spark in your eyes every time you assist to their shows. A spark he never quite saw before in his entire life. A spark that made him love his job even more because he wanted you to keep it forever.

There is simply something about you that he can’t understand, but it makes him love you more.  

“With a guy,” Jimin finally adds.

Even if Jungkook wants to hide it, his friend sees how this hurts him. Actually, everything hurts at the moment. You’re not here, and he’s completely lost without you.

But he shakes his head because tonight is the last day of the tour, he wants to properly enjoy it. The end of a tour is always magical, there’s something so indescribable. All he truly wants is to have fun for the last night of the tour.

“So you’re going on a date with Yeonjun?” Sohee asks as she raises an eyebrow.  

Your best friend has been loving to hear you talking about Yeonjun, she has never seen you so excited and hyped about being around someone. But she’s deeply worried about you. Barely a week ago you were spreading your legs to Jungkook, and now, you’re flirting with a guy you’ve known for a week.

“Yeah, he just proposed it,” you say with a smile spreading across your face.

The last week with Yeonjun has been amazing, to say the least. He has been very carrying and nice to you, making you comprehend that he likes you. Of course, when it’s for work, both of you strictly stay professional but once you’re on a break, you flirt together. This man has managed for the past week to make you feel loved and desired.  

Honestly, you’d be lying if you said that your mind hasn’t been thinking about Jungkook. You miss being with him and letting him screw you, but you’re doing this for a good reason. Your mother will be happy to find out in a couple of months or weeks that you’re seeing someone, and she will for sure leave you alone. However, you’re convinced that soon enough, you’ll stop thinking about Jungkook.

“We’ll go to some restaurant he adores, and after that, we’ll close the night with the last show of the Devil Lovers,” you tell her.

Her eyes widen as you mention that you’re going to spend your first date in front of Jungkook. Sohee has always found you weird but she accepted and respected it because it was the reason why she loved you that much, but right now, she’s convinced that you’re being extra weird. This doesn’t make sense at all.  

“This isn’t a good idea at all, Yn,” she warns you. “If I were you, I’d change plans.”

Your brows furrow as you’re trying to understand why you should change your plans. Well, you know that it isn’t probably the best idea but you simply don’t care. You absolutely want to see the last show of your favorite band, and nothing will prevent you from doing so. Not even a date.  

“A little over a week ago, you were having intense sex with Jungkook, and now you’re bringing your date to a show given by Jungkook’s band.”

You roll your eyes as you believe she’s exaggerating everything. “Jungkook is a friend to me, nothing more.”

Maybe the real reason you’re doing this is to convince yourself and him that it wasn’t meaningful to you. That it was just sex.

Before offering Yeonjun to accompany you to the show, you strongly thought about it, wondering if it truly was a good idea. But you didn’t want to tell him you couldn’t go out with him because you desired to attend the last show of your favorite band. The choice between Yeonjun and Devil Lovers was really tough so you decided to not choose. You decided to have both of them the same night.

“Plus, I haven’t seen him a lot lately, it’d be the perfect occasion to see him again.”  

She sighs because she knows that no matter what she’ll say, she’s never going to convince you to change your plans. It’s still very fucked up that you’re going to show up at the Devil Lovers’ last show with Yeonjun. To her, it’s obvious that everything is going to go off.

“You’re crazy!” She says. “But I hope everything will go well with Yeonjun tonight.”

Deep down, you truly hope it works because this man is the most perfect one you’ve lately found if Jungkook is excluded from the list.

After talking for over an hour with Sohee about everything but this date, you find your way to your bedroom to get ready for your date. You pick a cute black dress. A black dress that Jungkook offered you some while ago because he saw how much you loved it. This dress is without any doubt one of your favorites.

The confidence that builds within you every time you put it is unspeakable.

As your eyes glance at your reflection in the mirror, a smile spreads on your face. For the past year, you’ve changed a lot. You’ve become a more powerful and confident woman. Jungkook for sure helped with his constant praise and his advice. He’s definitely one of the best people you’ve ever met. One of the best friends you have.  

Today, you’re able to go on a date with Yeonjun thanks to him.

Hopefully, you’ll be able to speak to him any time soon and go back to being good friends. Without the sex, of course.

Soon enough, Yeonjun shows up at your place to take you to the restaurant. As soon as his eyes land on you, he compliments you, making you feel like the prettiest girl in the world. To say that you’re lucky to have found him is an understatement.

Throughout the entire diner, you discuss your personal life and work. Not too long ago, your boss was fired for his inappropriate behavior, and a lot of your coworkers complained about his behavior. For sure, without him, you would have never met Yeonjun. Maybe, right now, you’d be in Jungkook’s dressing room being railed like you used to do it. At the thought of it, your thighs clutch together. You try to readjust your posture on the chair, pushing away the thoughts of having Jungkook in between your legs right now.

But it’s a lost cause.

So, you simply decide to not answer him. At least, not yet.  

As you fully focus again on Yeonjun, you put your phone in your little purse to not be disturbed by Jungkook or anyone else. Tonight is all about getting to know more of Yeonjun, nothing else.  

After an amazing dinner, the two of you head to the concert hall. Yeonjun has never listened to any of the Devil Lovers’ songs so you’re beyond thrilled to make him discover your all-time favorite band. Maybe he isn’t going to enjoy it but for nothing in the world, you’d miss tonight’s show.

Obviously, you never mentioned to him that you used to fuck one of the vocalists. It would be extremely awkward, and you’re not sure yet how things will evolve with him. Maybe in two days, you’ll see that this has no future. You’ve always been extremely picky when it comes to relationships.

“This is their last show, right?” He asks as he arrived with two plastic glasses full of beer in his hands.

You take one of the glasses before drinking a bit, you always enjoy a good beer during the boys’ shows. You’re not much of an alcohol drinker in general but when you’re at one of the Devil Lovers’ shows, you always drink a bit.  

“Yep, then they are going to work on a new album, and most probably in a couple of months, they’ll announce new tour dates.”

Even if you know the Devil Lovers personally, you’re more than excited for the new album and the new tour. You’ve been a fan since day one, so everything they do makes you extremely blissful.

What you ignore at that precise moment is that during the past week, Jungkook has written a song about you. A song that has been bringing some peace to his tormented mind.  

“You really are a big fan of them!” He says with a big smile on his face.

“I am,” you say before taking a sip of your beer.

Tonight is completely different. For the first time in a year, you’re not here for Jungkook. You’re here for and with Yeonjun, and you aren’t even in the VIP area as per usual. You’re simply in the middle of the other fans of the band, enjoying the show from another point of view.

After some long minutes of waiting, the show starts. Inevitably, your eyes only stare at your close friend, a smile spreading across your face when you finally see him. His hair is pushed back, exposing his forehead which gives him a lot of charm. He’s wearing a white t-shirt that reveals his full tattooed forearm, and a blue pair of jeans. As always, his brow piercing is there.

Jungkook looks incredibly hot.

Without you realizing it, you bite your lower lip. Your mind doesn’t need much more to be completely carried away. White t-shirts are his favorite, so he has already fucked you a lot of times wearing one.

Your arousal grows again as you imagine being fucked backstage. You and the vocalist are in his dressing room. Friends can’t fall in love, that’s what you both think.

Thankfully, Yeonjun never notices anything, simply enjoying being with you and discovering a band you love.

After the show, Yeonjun drove you home. For the first time, you didn’t go backstage to congratulate the boys. The night was incredibly awkward. You were on a date with Yeonjun but it felt like it was with Jungkook. During the drive home, it convinced you more that you need to step away from the vocalist’s life.

You’re convinced the intense physical attraction between you is going to destroy anything you might possibly want to build with someone else. How can you fall in love with someone if all you can think about is how Jungkook can perfectly fuck you?

Yeonjun only pressed a soft kiss on your cheek before wishing you a wonderful night of sleep. This man is for sure a beautiful person, and you can’t wait to spend more time with him. You really want to learn more about him. You really want to get to know him better.

As you close your eyes to sleep, your mind is brought back to the show and Jungkook. He never seems to leave you alone. Not even for a minute.
