Personally speaking: Jack would related to Pentious on a personal level (wanting respect, power, and to be liked), and although Karl would be intolerable of them (Jack more than Pentious), I 'm pretty sure he'd eventually treat Pentious like a friend and Jack as a nephew. In addition, Jack would be amazed and jealous of the other two's work, Pentious would be the same but more for Karl, and Karl would just be impressed with their level of work with the materials they were given and skill they have acquired.
