A Dark Materials AU in which soulmates’ daemons are switched at birth (but since soulmates are rare most people ignore this). So, when Zira’s daemon settled into a snake everyone judged it strange and disquieting, but Zira loved his Crawly dearly. Still he was unsettled, like he was missing something... until the day he met a stranger with a surprisingly affectionated duck.

Hi, here in the “sunny” Biella is more or less the same. Everybody is inside and everyone is panicking. I’m a little worried for me and my mother, we have a poor immunity system and we keep falling ill. I’ve been living shut inside for more than three weeks (I was ill before the quarantine started and I preferred to stay at home... and I’m still a little sick now).
