This Is More Of A What-if Situation Than Canon (yet). Living In A Criminal And Mob Run City Can Lead

This is more of a “what-if” situation than canon (yet). Living in a criminal and mob run city can lead to unexpected situations, such as acts of self-defense ending in murder.

Brief History of Lia
Lia was born into a kind family. Her father was a doctor and her mother a registered nurse at the same hospital. It was only natural that their daughter would follow in their footsteps in assisting the ill and injured. There was certainly love in the family, however, with a busy lifestyle that was fraught with despair, loss, and reality, the parents did not “soften” the real world for their daughter. She was aware of loss at an early age and that the world could be terribly unfair. This made Lia strong, but also seemingly cold and uncaring to an extent.
In her teenage and early years of college, Lia was more concerned with making her own future than creating lasting relationships. None of her dates lasted longer than a month, with the exception of one. During her second year of college, Lia met a young man who was also training to be a nurse. They held the same ideals and respected boundaries, making them near perfect for each other. But by the time they graduated, the man had found interest in another woman that was “more loveable”, as he put it.
This comment, though a rough blow, would prove for the best for Lia. She began to reevaluate herself and how she came off to others. The nurse was trained to be guarded against attachment or becoming empathetic with patients and those in her everyday life. She slowly lowered these walls to allow more “humanity” to leak through and not be so “cold”.
Today Lia can still often be regarded as a bitch in general, however she is not hated. Her words and work are with the best intentions. Those that become acquaintances or even friends may be able to have a better understanding as to who she is as a person outside of her nursing duties.

More old art of my oc ghost, Max. His chipper attitude will mostly remain, however he won’t be as “childish” as he once one. Still a creative fella, just officially “dead” dead this time around (no more “going ghost!” Danny Phantom inspiration haha)
