To Most Animal Nonhumans, I Highly Recommend This PC Game Called The Wilds! Its Still In Early Access
To most animal nonhumans, I highly recommend this PC game called The Wilds! Itâs still in Early Access so itâs a bit funky at times, but itâs very good. $5 on Steam or you can torrent it. Itâs an indie game developed by one man only, so I highly recommend supporting it.
Itâs an animal simulator, and you can play as a grey wolf, grizzly bear, wild boar, mountain lion, red fox, raven, bald eagle, moose, red deer, or raccoon.
You hunt, find a mate, make a den, have pups, thereâs unlockable skills, abilities, your animal has its own traits, and you can even customise the looks (e.g. different subspecies of wolves, different subspecies and coat colours of foxes), and a lot more since Iâve only briefly played it so far (personally I love playing as a fox since thereâs already WolfQuest for wolves). All the screenshots are from the game page itself :)

I think we need to normalize using "people" as a species neutral word.
Like idk in my brain the word people just doesn't automatically = human. To me it's just a way to signify intelligence and individuality, and to emphasize the need for respect towards another creature, not specific to any one species.
Dogs can be people, mice can be people, dragons can be people, humans can be people, birds can be people, elves can be people, robots can be people, and so on.
It's also (in my opinion) just much easier than always saying "beings" or "individuals" when referring to varying assortments of creatures.

I put together a little zine pdf based around comfort and activities for non-human folk! Check it out on itch, itâs pay what you want, but I appreciate donations! đ
"Apparently I bite him so hard, I nearly chewed his hand off. Blood all over the kitchen floor. What happened? Why did I do that? To this day, I have no idea. I guess he scared me. I bite."
Yaaay more Isle of Dogs fanart today. This is actually a redraw of a VERY old piece I originally did in like late 2018. Doubt anyone remembers it though since I deleted it and I don't even have the GIMP file anymore.
But hey, fits that I ended up finally drawing both the brothers Chief and Spots
Thereâs no such thing as work-life balance for neurodivergent & chronically ill people.
This is because everything in my life requires work:
maintaining friendships
keeping up with my hygiene
managing bills
making money
remembering my basic needs
sleeping regularly
outputting creatively
All requires some aspect of work for me.
And when everything in your life requires work, your balance goes out the window.
If you're neurodivergent and overwhelmed â I see you.
If you're chronically ill and overwhelmed â I see you.
You're not dysfunctional.
You're not incapable.
You're doing your best.
