So, I did decide to give some info on my idea I had in mind and have been using.

The dratini evolution line has been experimented on, and this was the result

The Dratini have gained an eye on both sides of their neck. They are completely functional and are not affected by sand or dust that may get there.

They have also gained an intolerance for the sunlight, seeming to be in pain when in contact but this will not kill them it seems like they are experiencing a sunburn.

And for some strange reason the need to feed off the blood of others it doesn't matter where it came from, but they do not need a lot of it to be satisfied.

One final thing they can regenerate parts of themselves, but it takes some time. An hour if one of the eyes on the neck are taking out, two if it's both, and it longer if it's the main ones.

But They don't seem to be in much pain.
