*KICKS DOOR DOWN* CAPTAIN KIDD'S RIGHT THIGH IS BROKEN SO WE ALL KNOW THAT'S WHERE RYUJI BROKE HIS LEG BUT BECAUSE IT'S ON KIDD THAT MEANS /RYUJI THINKS THAT HIS BROKEN LEG/TRACK RUINER REPUTATION IS A PART OF HIS IDENTITY/ ALSO THIGH BONES ARE HELLA HARD TO BREAK

JESU S CHRIST. OH… OH MY. I NEVER NOTICED THAT UNTIL NOW. ANON, I LOVE YOU FOR THAT.

It is true that Captain Kidd has a small detail on his right thigh that is basically (or at least what looks like) a bandage:

Here is a bit of a simple trivia/analysis about this though:

In the game it is confirmed that Ryuji’s leg was broken (not just a minor injury) he literally broke his femur, which is the strongest bone of the human body. It is hard as hell to break, but it is not impossible.

Besides, if Kamoshida broke it he wouldn’t have just kicked it with force or else he would be the one to get a broken foot instead (you see that a lot in boxing fights). If he broke it it is more likely that he would’ve had to brutally throw Ryuji on the ground instead or used his knees/foot carefully as a “hammer” (having a strong build would help to do that too) and even that would be difficult to cause this injury.

But this helps a lot to give us more insight on Ryuji’s character since injuries like that are more likely to affect not only on his sports career but on his whole health. A thigh injury is the most painful and difficult bone fracture to recover from and can affect nerves and blood vessels.

It may take even half a year to recover, but some people (like Ryuji) may never increase their flexibility or bear weight even with rehab.

You can see when they are running to get out of Kamoshida’s palace that Ryuji looks at his right side with pain:

He puts his hand over his right leg slightly to control the pain:

But then he falls when he puts his weight on his right side again (if you see the scene again you can clearly see that he is on his right foot when he loses balance):

And falls holding the same exactly place that Captain Kidd has covered in a bandage (the position is not the best, but you can see that his left leg is actually under his right one and he is holding his right thigh, close to his knee):

Ryuji also walks and runs slightly with a limp (his right leg doesn’t move as smoothly) and even his habit of putting his right leg over his left one can also be an indication of his injury. 

He may also have a scar or a deformity on the leg (something like a bone “tenting” the skin slightly) since femur fractures are mostly likely to cause it, but we can’t see that in the game.

It is a mark of his character and it is actually really nice to see the effort to make small details like that in game and how much Ryuji still thinks that this is just part of who he is and embodies this side of him in his own persona. It’s like he is saying “this is me now and I’ll deal with it”.

Now let us have happy Ryuji being cute after all this angst thing with my boy:

Made myself a new lock screen because my old one is also a galaxy Ford and I have lots of feelings about portal!Ford… like he was ready to die in order to protect the multiverse. Journal 3 didn’t talk that much about fords feelings about his time in the portal but the little it does say says a lot. He spent 30 years lost in an insane place alone and hunted down, and on the run but is still willing to go after bill and die to fix his mistakes. I have too many feelings about ford and they’re all over the place, so I drew him holding a forming dimension, like a star coming into existence.

Also I listened to Adam Young’s soundtracks Project Excelsior in particular, it’s really atmospheric.

Okay, but you know who doesn’t get enough love?

That’s right: this guy.

Soos is honestly one of the most pure-hearted characters on Gravity Falls, and yet he’s one of the least acknowledged. There’s no one to blame for that, of course!  All the action is going on with Dipper and Mabel and the Stan twins at the moment, so it’s easy for Soos to get lost in the background. But honestly, i just want to give him this one little moment in the spotlight.

What makes Soos so lovable is that he’s just so loving. Even though he makes mistakes often, he almost always means well and has the best of intentions.  I honestly can’t think of a time that Soos manipulated a situation for his own self-interest, or just acted selfishly in general (with the exception of that moment in Boss Mabel, but like…he’d just been adopted by wolves, c’mon).

He’s also way more protective than people give him credit for. From the zombie scenario in Scary-Oke to the portal scene in Not What He Seems, Soos has constantly tried his best to defend the kids, even if it doesn’t always go according to plan.

And let’s not forget how encouraging Soos is! Being a kid at heart himself, it’s evident he cares about the twins’ well-being and understands their hardships. Not once does he belittle them for being “childish,” and he often takes periods out of his day just to spend time with them–Because he really and truly cares.

And finally, he’s turned out to be so much more than just some comic relief, and I love that! While I’m always eager for a goofy one-liner from Soos, it’s so refreshing to know that there’s more to his character than just jokes and blunders. He’s three-dimensional, with a past and personality that have shaped him into the precious handyman he is today.

Basically, Soos is just a really good-hearted person and deserves to be recognized as such.  It’s evident that his childhood had its fair share of loneliness, insecurity, and hardship–so it only makes sense that he wants to put forth all the love he never got from his father.

In the end, though, he doesn’t need that man in his life:

He’s just as much a part of the family as any Pines.

The Josh erasure in this fandom is real

And it needs to stop.

Please stop replacing Josh with Simon.

Josh is supporter of the peaceful route.

(Simon is neutral and agrees with North and Josh on different issues)

Josh is an important member of Jericho and the role he plays is pivotal.

He deserves more than to be constantly drawn out of Jericho fanart and left out of other posts.

It’s not Jericho without Josh.

ATTENTION COSPLAYERS:

I would like to make the paint brand “Angelus” known. It is a special paint that is for leather, faux leather, rubber, and similar surfaces.

This is literally the best paint you can buy if you love a pair of shoes, but they aren’t in the right color for your character.

This stuff coats VERY well AND the coats of paint bend with your shoes. This means no cracking!!

In the photos above I took black rain boots and painted them with Angelus Turquoise. As you can see, they don’t look black any more! It’s so good!

I managed to paint two boots with a little one ounce bottle of the paint, and I still have a third of the bottle left over!

The paint dries very fast, so you can put layer on top of layer on top of layer without it streaking.

You can get the paint on Amazon and it comes in every color!
