I think my problem with the new Detective Pikachu isn't the models, but the shading and shadows. I don't know much about 3D rendering, but the models look fine to me. It's just the way the models fit in with the background that makes them look out of place.

detective pikachu Detective Pikachu Returns nintendo it kind of reminds me of old 3d animation movies where the models didn't have any shadows the models actually look great the more I stare at them. this is literally the only problem I have with them it's so close to the release so I'm just going to accept that the game is going to look like this
