not only are fauns raised for meat and fur, they're often employed to clean up landfills or heavily littered areas. they usually use heatherhorns or curlcoat crosses for this due to their docile nature and obedience. compared to swinelikes and other meat breeds, who are typically aggressive and care not for human morals.

in faun terms, a phrase referring to a certain breed's ability to graze (such as in the curlcoat advertisement), doesn't mean how much they ingest. it means weather or not they'll try eat any workers, or if they'll run away (which has happened).

grazing is typically done at night so the public doesn't see them

the fauns in the image above are heatherhorns, a wool breed. they're wearing jackets because they have no oil in their wool to protect themselves from water damage, so they end up soaking up the water like a sponge
