i had an interview today and i knew i was confident going in but i did not expect them to just straight up tell me "yeah you're good we're advancing you to the second round of interviews" halfway through the allotted interview time
the skysometric layoffs arc is finally coming to a close...!!
no stream today, taking another break because i need the rest. we'll do the finale of spirit tracks next week and then follow that up with the new monkey ball, sound good?
if i'm being honest, streaming spirit tracks is starting to drag – not because of the game itself, i'm quite enjoying my time with it! it's just a longer game than i typically stream. spirit tracks follows up phantom hourglass AND minish cap from last year, so the fatigue is starting to get to me.
i like having a lot of variety in my streaming diet, so i'm taking some time to consider what else i'm interested in and how to work those into the schedule. streaming one game every sunday until it's done was a "mature" decision for my adhd right up until it became a problem for my adhd, lmao
of course i have no shortage of games to stream for variety's sake, but adhd strikes again by having turned these ideas into "obligations." some games have been on my stream backlog for like 7-8 years… so there's decision paralysis AND a mental wall in the way!
streaming once weekly for several months in a row now is also starting to wear on me, if i'm being honest – but i've wanted this for over a decade and i'm not backing down now! i want to stream consistently for as long as i can – that means i need to learn how to get my brain to cooperate.
long story short, it's clear that i need to learn some new tricks and techniques to keep my love of streaming healthy. experimenting may lead me to try new schedules or game lineups, so i appreciate your patience as i sort through this! 💙
In which I check in on the Chao that my brother and I raised when we were kids, to see how they're doing two decades later! We got to see all our little gremlins' lovely names, like Bubbles, Superb, Whobert, Soul #2, ヨ口Tahu★, and Ú¿ÕÚÛÜÜ
to balance out my screaming from the other night, here's me playing well
attempt #5 of taking columns seriously
i see now why columns 2 rarely gets rereleased, it is a game that actively hates you. it's based around downstacking, which is fucking impossible in columns, and then makes it harder by adding skull tokens at random that push the stack up. total bullshit
i had at least a little hope that columns 2 might be neat, because columns 3 has that admittedly really cool versus mode. but no, columns 2 is just total bullshit. i don't understand how it shipped or why anyone would want to play it
