this made me think of the CH!HC that CH!riki is actually ch!hoonie comfort person. nobody really gets just how close they are because they never lit it on or people just don't notice but when the boys tease hoonie about riki being his favorite, they're not lying or even exaggerating. when they were younger, hoonie would always wait for riki after school so they could go and hang out at the ice rink together, both of them giving each other tips and advice on their skills and performances. hoonie would get super frustrated when he couldn't land a move immediately but riki would always cheer him on and motivate him to keep going. hoonie was also there for riki when his parents had disowner his sister and he was left all by himself in that abusive household. he hated y/n with the entirety of his heart, yet would always make sure riki was taken care of and protected, safe and happy during her short absence. when his parents sent him to boarding school in japan, sunghoon didn't say a single word during their farewell hug bc of how much his heart hurt thinking about his little brother all by himself so far away. hoonie would always facetime riki to ask how he's doing and even happened to be the one to secretly visit him after saving up money snd booking himself a flight to japan :( they love and care for each other so much, which is why hoonie is so quiet about y/n around riki. 🥺
