I do like that idea about the intern on a research team, it could add more spice to the story because then when he does begin to morph into a mer he’d be surrounded by people he knows the entire time. So that would make it more interesting, good ideas 👌✨
So like guy who enjoys exploring the ocean comes across this cursed merpeople object and it causes them to permanently change into merman not only that but begins to grow into a leviathan?
Like should I make him part of a scientist team that purposely looks for underwater artifacts. Would he suddenly turn into one or would he slowly become more fish like until he has to be rushed into the ocean. Or would they be searching for their missing diver(scientist)only to find a giant merman.
Should I make it a teenager who went on vacation and found the artifact and decided to keep it but then when they start becoming a merman they desperately need water and gets taken by the government to be studied. But then it gets harder to contain the contuiously growing Mer. Atleast until he has to be transferred into a bigger underwater facility.
Y’all should help me out

Have you ever played a game from eyemaze? If you don't know who he is, most of his games have the word GROW before the main place. Like island, valley, tower, maze, chronon, cube, etc.
I don’t play video games,I’m not super into them. That and I don’t have time to play games. I play Minecraft like once or twice a year and that’s it.

I finished this commission for @lowkey-gt Of their amazing miraculous ladybug story which I highly recommend,I had a fun time and I rlly enjoyed this
You don't take requests, do you?
I would but,if I’m quite honest I’m normally pretty busy so I can’t garentee I’d get it done. But hopefully in the future I will lol.
I think in terms of growth rate, it'd start out really slow, like a few days before anything super noticable, and its only after like a week or three when the whole thing starts to kick in at maximum speed.
Fall asleep with normal teeth, wake up with fucking xenomorph jaws, minus the extra smaller mouth (unless this leviathan curse comes with Eel traits, and in that case, the extra set of jaws would NOT be considered unrealistic whatsoever).
Go home for the weekend with normal legs, wake up wednesday morning with a broken bed and a massive eel-fish-sea-serpent tail AFTER enduring horrible leg cramps (so bad he can't leave the fuckin room without needing a life alert) for three days straight.
Perfect normal vision? Well shoot man guess what, give that curse a couple sleepless nights and bam, ur eyes are now mostly pupil and computer screens give off as much eyestrain as staring point-blank into the fucking sun.
So I'd say he starts to grow about a foot and a half per week after about.... four weeks preparation. Like a prolonged interphase before things go apeshit. Idk I'm not good with math. Never was my strong suit.
So at the end of the year he’d be 78ft atleast plus his already norm height. So he’d be growing 5ft and a few inches, per month. It’d be a pretty large jump in height, and could be a cause for concern.
I do want him to be transferred and tagged so he can live in the ocean when he eventually needs a bigger space due to his growth, but I did plan maybe after he grows for a while and loses contact with the facility cause his sense of time changes due to his size.
And I’m thinking that he eventually reappears to the ocean facility after getting a bad injury. And he actually beaches and ends up drying off turning into a human Mer hybrid. With some rules of course. Like as long as his slime coat is wet he can be human form,if it dries out he has to go back in the water or he’ll die. Also like if he touches water or is too high humidity he’ll grow back into a mer. He also gains a mostly fish and squid diet so eating processed food isn’t super good for him.
Then I was thinking maybe they run tests and find that Levi hadn’t grown in two years and something was causing a stunt in growth. But then later Leviathan seems like he’s getting sick and is producing a large amount of slime coat than normal and when they run tests they find it’s full of growth hormones. So the two years caught up to him very quickly so he goes through a large growth spurt when he doesn’t want to. He also learns to not speak much due to his size and he’s normally alone. So when he does freak out while big they have to try and calm him down cause his voice is too loud for human ears.
My brain has jumbled ideas lmao
