Oh, Motherfucker. I've Eaten About Two Heads Of Romaine In The Last Two Weeks And Have Been Feeling Like
Oh, motherfucker. I've eaten about two heads of romaine in the last two weeks and have been feeling like dog shit. I'm SOOO glad they wait until people are hospitalized before thinking "maybe we should warn people about their death lettuce?"

Romaine lettuce is unsafe to eat in any form, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday in a broad alert in response to a new outbreak of illnesses caused by a particularly dangerous type of E. coli contamination.
The CDC told consumers to throw away any romaine lettuce they may already have purchased. Restaurants should not serve it, stores should not sell it, and people should not buy it, no matter where or when the lettuce was grown. It doesn’t matter if it is chopped, whole head or part of a mix. All romaine should be avoided.
The CDC alert, issued just two days before Americans sit down for their Thanksgiving dinners, reported that 32 people in 11 states have become sick from eating contaminated romaine. Of those, 13 have been hospitalized, with one patient suffering from a form of kidney failure. No deaths have been reported.
The origin of the outbreak is unknown and remains under investigation. The CDC did not limit the warning to romaine from any particular agricultural area.
A common strain of E.coli was detected in six of the sickened people, and appears to match the bacterial strain found in an outbreak of illnesses from contaminated leafy greens late last year that affected people in both the U.S. and Canada. That outbreak was declared over in January.
Five people died in the most recent major outbreak from contaminated romaine, which lasted from March to June of this year and led to 210 cases in 36 states. That outbreak was traced to the Yuma, Ariz. growing region, but investigators never conclusively determined the precise source.
All three outbreaks — the current one, the one from Yuma and the one from last year — are caused by contamination by this deadly strain called E. coli O157:H7. It produces a Shiga toxin that can cause hemolytic uremic syndrome, a type of kidney failure. Until the 1990s, most E. coli cases in humans came from eating contaminated hamburger. In more recent years, after reforms in the livestock industry, the outbreaks have been most often associated with leafy greens.

Why the hell is Geralt my dad in 3 Houses?

HE'S THE ONE I WANT TO BONE! Seriously, out of every character I saw in that trailer, he was only one of two that got my interest. I'm already wary of this game (the head-on cutscenes with Byleth makes me think they've removed customization, and I wouldn't be surprised if this avatar was like Mark- a glorified NPC), why you gotta take away the one thing that makes me smile in modern FE?

50,000 years ago, when we had but the one teaser for 3H, I sketched my Fates OC Nerr as Byleth because I wasn't sure if there'd be a gender option. Now I know there is, and... yeah. I don't care now. Mine's better, change my mind. Take note of the pants, IntSys- it's those things you won't let female characters wear anymore even if male characters in the same classes wear them *coughTsubakiandHinokacough* *MaeandBoeycoughcough*
All they had to do was give her pants and sleeves... Titania wore pants... Mathilda wore pants, and they were the HOTTEST female characters your series had to offer.
Conquest!Corrin: "I just feel so guilty when I kill Hoshidans in self defense. I want peace- I don't want to hurt anyone, but when other people I can't control murder the people I did everything in my power to protect, that's MY fault. Maybe those assassins are right, and I should just let them kill me..."
Birthright!Corrin: "Golly gee whiz, I sure am okay with going out of my way to slaughter Nohrians en masse!"
Fates has a clear message- violence is WRONG... when used against the "good guys". If you attack someone we say is good in self defense, you're a bad person and you should feel bad. You run into trouble with someone we say is bad because you break into a place with the intention to steal something you could probably easily buy? Just fucking murder EVERYONE. It's not like those guards were just doing their job before you showed up to steal from them. They're the BAD GUYS; their lives don't matter!
If a video game wants to say “violence is bad” they HAVE do it through gameplay, and not just cutscenes and dialogue.
"Merh! They HAVE to put Camilla on the banners cuz she's popular and that's what sells!! No one would care about a random, unpopular character!"

You wanna try that again?

So, I actually drew this some time last year, but I never really liked it, so into the corner it went. I fished it out a few weeks ago and decided to try and finish it. There were lots of mistakes with the linework, and while I managed fix *some* of them, I couldn't make it *right*, partially due to the acrylic paint I use as whiteout being really hard to draw on this time for some reason.
I fucking LOVE New Mystery of the Emblem. It's my second favorite game in the series, after Conquest. These are my favorite characters from the game (and Barst, but these are the top three). NM is honestly the only game whose cast I actually like. It's amazing how three conversations can make a character more sympathetic, interesting and likeable than several pages worth of dialogue. Sad that IntSys decided to forego quality in favor of quantity these days. And I know Cecil is from the original Mystery and Norne and Frey are from Shadow Dragon, but the non-main characters in the famicom games were pretty much NPCs, and characters that are locked out of all but the easiest game mode might as well not exist. If IS remakes Shadow Dragon in another twenty years, for the love of Naga, make the prologue a part of the whole game. It was literally the best part of the story!
