Well, Xander was LITERALLY about to kill Corrin. He beat them within an inch of their life and was going in for a killing blow. It's highly unlikely that Elise just shouting "Stop!!" would've had any effect given how adamant he was. She's still just a troubador in Birthright, and it didn't even seem like she was carrying a staff, so how else would she have stopped him? Jumped on his back? He'd probably just knock her off and get right back to it.

Ryouma and Azura were standing a few feet away, idly watching someone they supposedly care about get slaughtered. What Elise essentially did was push someone out of the way of the way of a car and get hit herself. And I can even see it as "wasting her life" if it had been for a stranger, but her most beloved sibling? That's like saying a parent "wastes their life" if they die in the process of saving their child.

Regardless of "technically an adult", Elise is very young. A person's brain doesn't finish developing, particularly the part of the brain understands consequences, until you're in your mid 20's (which is why children and teenagers do such stupid things). On top of that, she was witnessing someone she loves dearly about to be executed. She acted impulsively, like most humans would.

Elise's actions in that moment make perfect sense. It's one of the few times in Birthright as a whole where a character acted in a way I thought a human being really would.

Was working through the armored units missions, got up to 20 orbs, and summoned this on my first pull. He's -atk (but +def, so hopefully Ignis will have him covered), but I'm still very pleased. Still obsessing over my hexapedal Fates AU. I revamped Guntaur a bit because I want him to be more like a clydesdale (totally not because I want him to tower over Xander or anything...). Given his surface area, he's very warm, making for a very comfortable seat, especially in the winter. Nerr has no legs, and has difficulty manuevering in the snow, but the other children have no excuse, especially not Flora and Felicia.

One day I'll care enough about the other characters to draw them too.

How are we supposed to know what events to choose? We get maybe a few days of preperation. If I'd realized a.) the Yokai event would be so terrible and unfair (and I don't mean unfair in the ranking, I mean almost 2000 stamina and 500 flames from the gacha not being enough to even finish the tengu set cuz I kept getting one flame per do), and b.) the ruin event was coming a week later, I'd have saved all my diamonds. Who knows what event's going to be next? It might be something even better than this one, but too bad, cuz I already spent the last of my diamonds today.

TCC's bad, but it's predictable. You get a week and a half long event that costs stamina and uses up your items, then you get a week long event where you just play normally to recover said items. It's hard, damn near impossible sometimes, but it's always the same formula. None of this "It's a guessing game that uses diamonds! No, you need stamina now! Oh, but you have to get all the items in order this time!!" bullshit that LN seems so fond of pulling.

I want to like this game. It's so beautiful, and I spent money on it. But it's like an abusive boyfriend, hurting me then coaxing me back with pretty clothes...
