You ever have one of those days where, if you thought about anything other than your fandom/otp/hobby/what have you, you would just fucking kill yourself because the realization that life isn't getting better and nothing else can even make you smile anymore is so crushing, death seems like a preferable alternative? Like there is nothing, NOTHING short of some kind of weird miracle that only happens to people shojou manga, that could possibly make life better. Not even great, just bearable to the point that you don't regret waking up. And the only thing that keeps you from plotting how to NOT wake up the next day is obsessing over something everyone around you calls "stupid" and "pointless". And when someone says, "Do you ever think about anything serious, or do you just spend all your time thinking about your stupid cartoons?" you just want to break their legs and watch them writhe in misery so they can maybe understand what you're REALLY thinking about.
