It’s literally 12am but I have a wacky DHMIS theory. Reminder that the creators before have said that no one theory is wrong or right.

From what I’ve seen, either people a) think Duck, Red, and Yellow didn’t know each other before the events of the show or b) think they somewhat knew each other (thanks to the transport episode) but I’m going to throw an absolutely wacky theory that I personally think about from time to time

So, what if the three were actually together as an actual family before whatever happened to them happened?

Sure I may be digging in too deep into Duck’s off hand comment of “I’m the dad, he’s the pet” but what if he was really a father. His adoptive son being Yellow Guy. Red Guy would be the second father.

Somethings that I think connect is the fact we know before whatever happened to Yellow Guy was that he was probably a new person in town. Even if that whole sequence is dedicated to just Yellow, both Red and Duck show up. They’re clearly important to Yellow’s story.

All three are almost always with each other and always playing off of each other. Red has been shown that despite claiming that he doesn’t care about the other two, he really does care for them. Making a completely new Duck cause he couldn’t deal with the loss of him. Even Yellow dug up Duck as he couldn’t come with the terms that Duck died.

All three are clearly close even if they don’t say it.

And also the whole thing of the creators/actors shipping Fluffybird. I think they just enjoy it as is but it could be interesting if the creators bring that a step closer to being canon.

This may not make sense but what I’m getting at is Red and Duck were once together (either married or dating) before whatever happened and Yellow was their adopted son.
