Things that bother me ab TLT

Gideon’s sword is supposedly 6ft long, which would imply that Gideon herself is nearly 6′9″ in order to wield it properly. The most well-known and largest two-handed swords to see wide use in combat are 16th century zweihanders, which are historically around 4′8″ for an average soldier height of 5′7″. The zweihanders used in battle were generally a little under 5lbs, although ceremonial zweihanders could weigh as much as 10lbs and were much longer. All this to say, Gideon should be *at least* six feet tall, if not much more. But the Tridentarii are taller, and Muir said they were both around 6-and-a-half-foot, so something doesn’t add up. John is never described as being remotely tall, and while Wake was probably built like a damn truck, she isn’t described as being particularly tall either... even by 5-foot nothing Harrow. So maybe Gideon got some of Alecto’s height? She got her eyes, anyway. Or maybe the gravity on Drearburh made Gideon tall as heck? Pluto’s gravity is a little more than 1/16 of Earths, and on a growing body, that can definitely have some adverse effects. Gideon would be tall, but also lanky, which we know can’t be true. And Harrow would be tall, too. But she isn’t. Not to mention the fact that nearly anyone going from a low-gravity to a high-gravity planet would die instantly. Imagine pulling the Plutonian equivalent of 16 Gs. SIX sustained Gs are fatal. Girl would be dead. And have terrible cankles. So maybe there’s artificial gravity? But that still doesn’t solve the problem of Gideon’s height. Is she nearly 7 foot, and the twins are even taller? Is she just walking around with a ceremonial sword like it’s nothing? Do they just say the sword is six-feet long despite it not being that big? Can harrow really not lift a 4-10 lb sword? muir answer me
