dumb headcanon:every dr character that calle blood red is actually colorblind and no one has bothered to correct them

Consider the following idea: Celesgiri: Preventing the Cocky Noble Girl from becoming a Villainess! AU
Kyoko gets isekai'd (u may decide if it was truck-kun who killed her or it was the result of the tragedy) and ends up in your typical otome game where she wakes up as a noble (who looks a lot like herself) who had barely survived a murder attemptー obviously this world's Kyoko didn't survive but no one knows that ー after quickly recovering Kyoko's parents send her to this academy of talented magic users and elites, where she meets literally everyone who she once knew before her reincarnation.
(I wrote a bit much so here's a break line)
💫 This school has this weird thing where they pair people by their magic level and specialty magic; those whose level and/or specialty magic was unable to be read or was undeterminable were not paired at all. Which is where Kyoko ends up, she meets Makoto and Aoi here. She also meets Celestia here too, who ends up being her roommateー I feel that it should be mentioned they had their own rooms, but they were assigned the same floor/apartment (? idk just go with it.)
💫 It is here, after hearing all the family names and meeting Makoto, that Kyoko remembers Makoto (from the og world) had explained this dating sim to her on multiple occasions, to the point Kyoko had extensively researched it as per his request and even watched him play a couple of times.
💫 She knows that Junko (oh not again), daughter of the Fortvivlan family, is the main villainess, who is not that big of a concern apparently. She was relatively easy to take down as Makoto had told her time and time again after beating her for the umpteenth time. The person to really worry about was the youngest sibling of the Nachtnebel family, who turns out to be Celestia.
❤️ Celestia is not the main villainess, but she's THE villainess that the mc(Makoto) has to avoid triggering the red flags of or else all kingdoms fall into war and everyone in the school is mascaraed. In the game, it's almost impossible to avoid hitting the red flags of the lady from the Nachtnebel family.
🩷 There was also another villain down a secret route, but Makoto couldn't meet them no matter how much he played and tried; all Kyoko knows is that someone important had to die to even meet them.
🤎 Makoto's taste in these Roleplaying games is interesting.
💜 Kyoko, armed with this information decides that she'll help Makoto avoid setting off Celestia's red flag moments that he would have trouble with when playing the game.
💜 BUT, that makes Kyoko wonder, was her character ever in the game? She doesn't remember there being a character with her name that was close to the main character, and now that she thinks about it, this world's Makoto acts awfully similar to OG Makoto. So there's those two things that kinda haunts her in the back of her mind.
💜 That aside, Kyoko starts just going along with everything, she learns that she can use atomic magic (or insert what you feel is best, I chose at random). But because everyone needs a partner to practice with, Kyoko becomes Makoto's.
💫 Which is quickly changed to Makoto and Byakuyaー blondie simply refused to be paired up originally, he was okay being unofficially paired with Makoto bc interestー and Kyoko with Celestia because the two accidentally summoned a Amphiptere (Imagine a snake dragon, no legs at all) and a Li'l Quetzalcoatl (Similar thing just covered in feathers and a descendent of a god)
🤎💜 Side note: Makoto shrinks (the highly dangerous creatures, one essentially being a demigod) them and he and Kyoko adopt them separately. Kyoko names the Amphiptere, Chibikku.
🤎💛 2nd side note: Kyoko also picks up on the fact that OG Makoto's favorite love interest was the character that looked and acted like Byakuya, so she isn't surprised when Makoto comes to her for romantic advice.
💜 Mostly surprised that Byakuya had asked her if it'd be too much for the boy if he proposed to himー then she remembers that OG Makoto loved the proposal scene and the relationship the two had before Kyoko was isekai'd, she just tells Byakuya to be friends with the boy first and proceeds to make fun of him for not even being on a first name basis with his partner.
❤️ Celestia also acts weird, no one has no idea what magic she uses and her magic level simply couldn't be read, and she's able to win against Kyoko with basic spells.
❤️ Also, Kyoko notices that Celestia rolls a dice a lot in class and depending on what she gets she'll participate or notー not that Kyoko knows what specifically the girl has to role before performing in class.
❤️ Other times Celestia has a deck of cards, she gambles in class with whoever is willing to play, she has never lost. Kyoko had tried and lost. even Byakuya tired, bringing out a fresh pack of cards every time they play, he loses every time too.
❤️ Celestia had to gamble with the teacher, to allow her to keep gambling in class, she won; she had to gamble with most of the staff till it got to the Headmaster of the academy: all of whom she beat and the school as a whole gave up on stopping her.
💜❤️ They continue to practice with each other, they start to get along cue the budding feelings and semi-slow burn. With the two attempting to court the other and both not realizing the other was trying to court them, it turns out the Nachtenebel siblings are royals but none of them made an effort to announce it thinking it was obvious but everyone's stupid so no it wasn't.
💜 Kyoko then becomes Celestia's protector by scaring off suitors who want to marry into the royal family of another nation, she still acts like she does with Celestia but starts calling her "My princess".
❤️ Celestia deeply enjoys this.
💥 Junko disappears, her sister, Mukuro, comes to the academy to become a student and to look for her sister. At the same time students are attacked, attacks turn into disappearances, disappearances became murders (Kyoko helped minimize the number to less of a quarter of the deaths that happened in the game), murders turned into murder-suicides (again not as many as in game).
💥 Just as Kyoko remembers, Junko tries to frame MC(Makoto) for everything, it's revealed that she had made a deal with the demon lord then killed the demon lord's vessel and was now racing against the clock to become the demon lord while he was weak, and there's a final event where every one of the Makoto's allies helps.
💥 What DOES change is that Mukuro was there? Celestia and Toko were there too? And Mukuro's the one who lands the final blow with Makoto and Celestia (her specialty magic is blood manipulation, which she preferably manifests into blood butterflies that could enhance the magic of others) supporting her.
💥 Junko, inevitably, loses then is consumed by some demon lord curse she got for killing a fragment of the demon lordー the only way to do anything to the curse or get rid of it is to BE the demon lord, except it's heightened then further enhanced* and she straight up dies because the actual demon lord had lost half their prowess and was effectively not the demon lord anymore thus heightening the neg effects of the curse to death.
💥 Before dying she tries to kill Celestia, because consuming her blood would enhance her own magic and if she consumes enough, she'll live long enough to become the demon lord and rid her curse.
*Of course, Kyoko under some kind of trance, rips Junko's arms off or something like that and further enhances the curse on Junko so the blonde could never reincarnate, and her spirit/soul dies too.
✨ and everyone celebrates, Makoto stops lowkey flirting with Byakuya and asks him why he hadn't asked Makoto out. Kyoko still thinks the behavior Makoto exhibits is uncanny to when OG Makoto played the game.
❤️💜 Of course, Celesgiri is still pinning but after near death and what was practically a confession before the big fight, they finally start to understand that the other might be into them. They graduate like a week after.
🌟 Then the next installment of this would be everyone returning for the new school year. Kyoko dancing around Villainess! Celes' route and trying to court Celestia only to comedically mess up and Kyoko not picking up on Celestia's attempts.
🩷 There's also just the fact that everyone to lowkey panicking about what happened with the Demon Lord?
🩷 The ex-demon lord pretty much just named his daughter the acting-queen of the demon kingdom for a while as he and his wife go on an overdue vacation to travel and watch concerts. He announced before leaving that he has no idea who the new demon lord could be, nor could he sense them until the demon lord awakened soon.
🩷 So who was the demon lord? No clue.
💜 n e ways some group is after the children of the royal families, and Kyoko is for whatever reason asked to protect Celestia by the twins (Ibuki and Gunhdam best older siblings); she agrees immediately, didn't have to ask.
💜🤎 Her and Makoto go on a little adventure where he admits he was isekai'd, to which she admits SHE was isekai'd and apparently this explained everything about the other to each other.
💜 After their little heartfelt reunion 2: electric boogaloo, they run into roaming members of the group trying to kill the princesses and princes and Makoto convinces Kyoko that they'll investigate everything.
That's not all I got but that's all I'll give for now.
before I go the specifics on Kyoko and Celestia's magic
💜 Kyoko uses atomic magic, think like Momo Yaoyorozu from BNHA/MHA but instead of using lipids from herself she can manipulate the atomic structure of something and make it into another, like turning water into ice or steam and being able to perfectly manipulate that, with enough knowledge of that works she could make whatever she wanted. Like turning a rock into liquid water or dirt into fire. She could also use her own atoms to make herself physically tougher or lighter, like an enhancement but anything beyond that could potentially mean messing with her atomic structure so badly that she could possibly end up with a body that doesn't function the way it should, which could either be inconvenient and uncomfortable or fatal. Kyoko finds out she has these abilities by accidently turning the ground of the practice area into slime. This was right before her and Makoto summoned dangerous beasts, where she created a platform of quartz with a design that was stuck in her head from an earlier lesson and Makoto tripped on the platform, scraped his knee, bleed on the summoning circle then both Kyoko and Makoto used the same healing spell on himself and??? summoned them? It happened too fast is my excuse for not having better details. She also finds it really easy to learn magic, like she picks up on it really quickly, and because she's surrounded by really talented people she doesn't really realize that her magical improvement recently is very out of the ordinary but then again she hasn't picked up light magic like Makoto so it's not really a concern.
❤️ Celestia uses blood magic, she can control her own blood as well as the blood of other so long as a drop of her blood comes into contact, however it is only her own blood that can be used to enhance others' abilities, she could also enhance her own by consuming her own blood. Her usage of blood magic could substitute all other magic types, she can heal, create barriers, (with enough energy and time) create small life (so far only butterflies but still! Life!), use her magic offensively and defensively, can manipulate blood in it's liquid form like water, solidify it for other uses and even turn it into a gas or plasma-like state, she could also create fire, lighting, and such from her own blood. HOWEVER this has the unfortunate side effect of blood-less magic being almost useless, to use normal magic would be a gamble in itself, besides basic spells, Celestia has a very low chance of performing a spell to what is standard for her magic level, as Celestia likes to take gambles she uses dice to determine whether or not her magic would work in a situation. Think DnD and needing to roll to see if your move worked or not, if it doesn't roll the way she wants Celes simply doesn't participate. Because Blood magic is generally unacceptable, especially for a Royal, Celeste does her best to hide it now that she's in a different nation. She tries to get by on the few demonstrations of her prowess and basic spells, she plays off the rumor that she doesn't use her full abilities because she doesn't feel everyone worthy enough to witness it, which is why she spends hours observing everyone and finding out their weaknesses when casting and taking advantage with basic spells.

Hey! Are there blacksmiths in your story? I'm a hobbyist blacksmith and I'm here to help!
Blacksmithing is one of those things that a lot of people get wrong because they don't realize it stuck around past the advent of the assembly line. Here's a list of some common misconceptions I see and what to do instead!
Not all blacksmiths are gigantic terrifying muscly guys with beards and deep voices. I am 5'8, skinny as a twig, have the muscle mass of wet bread, and exist on Tumblr. Anybody who is strong enough to pick up a hammer and understands fire safety can be a blacksmith.
You can make more than just swords with blacksmithing. Though swords are undeniably practical, they're not the only things that can be made. I've made candle holders, wall hooks, kebab skewers, fire pokers, and more. Look up things other people have made, it's really amazing what can be done.
"Red-hot" is actually not that hot by blacksmith terms. when heated up, the metal goes from black, to red, to orange, to yellow, to white. (for temperature reference, I got a second degree burn from picking up a piece of metal on black heat) The ideal color to work with the metal is yellow. White is not ideal at all, because the metal starts sparking and gets all weird and lumpy when it cools. (At no point in this process does the metal get even close to melting. It gets soft enough to work with, but I have never once seen metal become a liquid.)
Blacksmithing takes fucking forever. Not even taking into account starting the forge, selecting and preparing metal, etc. etc. it takes me around an hour to make one (1) fancy skewer. The metals blacksmiths work with heat up and cool down incredibly fast. When the forge is going good, it only takes like 20 seconds to get your metal hot enough to work with, but it takes about the same time for it to cool down, sometimes even less.
As long as you are careful, it is actually stupidly easy to not get hurt while blacksmithing. When I picked up this hobby I was like "okay, cool! I'm gonna make stuff, and I'm gonna end up in the hospital at some point!" Thus far, the latter has yet to occur. I've been doing this for nearly a year. I have earned myself a new scar from the aforementioned second degree burn, and one singe mark on my jeans. I don't even wear gloves half the time. Literally just eye protection, common sense, and fast reflexes and you'll probably be fine. (Accidents still happen of course, but I have found adequate safety weirdly easy to achieve with this hobby)
A forge is not a fire. The forge is the thing blacksmiths put their metal in to heat it up. It starts as a small fire, usually with newspaper or something else that's relatively small and burns easily, which we then put in the forge itself, which is sort of a fireplace-esque thing (there's a lot of different types of forge, look into it and try to figure out what sort of forge would make the most sense for the context you're writing about) and we cover it with coal, which then catches fire and heats up. The forge gets really hot, and sometimes really bright. Sometimes when I stare at the forge for too long it's like staring into the sun. The forge is also not a waterfall of lava, Steven Universe. It doesn't work like that, Steven Universe.
Welding and blacksmithing are not the same thing. They often go hand-in-hand, but you cannot connected two pieces of metal with traditional blacksmithing alone. There is something called forge welding, where you heat your metal, sprinkle borax (or the in-universe equivalent) on it to prevent the metal from oxidizing/being non-weldable, and hammer the pieces together very quickly. Forge welding also sends sparks flying everywhere, and if you're working in a small space with other blacksmiths, you usually want to announce that you're welding before you do, so that everyone in a five-foot radius can get out of that five-foot radius. You also cannot just stuck some random pebbles into the forge and get a decent piece of metal that you can actually make something with, Steven Universe. It doesn't work like that, Steven Universe.
Anvils are really fucking heavy. Nothing else to add here.
Making jewelry is not a blacksmithing thing unless you want jewelry made of steel. And it will be very ugly if you try. Blacksmithing wasn't invented to make small things.
If there's anything here I didn't mention, just ask and I'll do my best to answer.
Also because the murder bear said she was a boy and we just believed the evil robot that has canonicaly lied to us multiple times
So this might just be the tranny in me speaking but there’s a character in Danganronpa who we are introduced to that is a girl. She wears girl clothes she’s referred to as a girl and as far as I know we are given no indication that she wants to be addressed as anything other than a girl
But we don’t know for sure what gender she is
Because she has a penis

Worst mistake dub ever did?
there are a lot of dumb rewrites but i think by far the worst was censoring shiori's death. it just didn't work long-term at all and i'm sure most people who watched the show as kids still caught onto the fact that she died (you know, considering how she never showed up again.)
it was also a rather extensive change to make because it wasn't just shiori's death scene that was rewritten. it also affected:
shun's reasoning for brawling and why he stopped. in the jpn dub, shun was very excited when it came to creating the bakugan game but he was largely motivated by how happy it made his mother to see him having fun with his friends. when she died, he didn't see a point in having anything to do with the game anymore so he quit. in the eng dub, shun stop brawling not as a result of his mother's death, but because his grandfather demanded he stop so he could focus on his ninja training. (which is then later changed to "i quit because i was bored.") which brings us to...
our view on shun's relationship with his grandfather. because shun's reasoning for brawling and his temporary retirement were no longer tied to shiori, it had to be changed to something. the solution was to make grandpa kazami the bad guy, forcing his grandson into giving up friends and playing bakugan so he could focus on his training instead. shun seemed to resent his grandfather in episode 12 but he was seen interacting with his grandfather positively in later episodes so clearly, this change in the story didn't work long-term.
the circumstances surrounding dan and shun's battle on the roof. in the jpn dub, shun heard from his grandfather that shiori had very little time left and then sought out dan for a battle so he could stop time. shun tried to prolong the battle for as long as he could and dan eventually caught on to what he was doing. in this battle, shun was forced to realize that he simply couldn't prevent his mother's death. in the eng dub, this battle was instead about shun defying his grandfather's wishes by doing the very thing he forbade, as well as shun using this prolonged battle to hide from the fate that awaited him if his mother never left the hospital, which was his grandfather forcing him into giving up bakugan. this by itself is not a bad direction for the eng dub to take but again, it doesn't work long-term because shun and grandpa kazami have a perfectly good relationship and it lessens the significance of phoenix being shun's guardian bakugan. and that brings us to...
the significance of skyress/phoenix. in the jpn dub, shun is given phoenix by his mother right before she dies. as such, shun views her as his mother's keepsake and also thinks of phoenix as his mother figure. in the eng dub, shiori seems to be very much not dead and, judging by the doctor who assured shun in episode 12, she's doing fine. skyress is therefore not the last thing shiori left shun and skyress' is no longer a memento for shun to remember his mother by. shun's lines about how skyress is like a mother to him have also been removed in episode 49, further removing the parallel between skyress and shiori.
shun's trial. shun had his trial in the death dimension in episode 31. he faced his mother as a young child, because she used to wish for the sun to never set when she was a kid so she could play forever. shun's trial was about whether he understood the importance of looking to the future where his friends were rather than continuing to be weighed down by the past (his mother's death,) of whether he would choose to live in an illusionary world where time stood still (a reference to how he tried to prevent time from moving in episode 12) so long as it was a world where his mother was still alive or choose to face reality and continue on living in a world where his mother had since perished. in the eng dub, shun's only lesson was to understand the importance of having and accepting help from friends instead of isolating himself. but shun's isolation only really makes sense in the context of the jpn dub where he chose to withdraw himself from his friends and the bakugan game due to his mother's death. furthermore, the inclusion of shiori comes across as odd in the context of the eng dub because shiori is allegedly fine right now, isn't she? so why is shun's trial still focused on him facing the future rather than being stuck in the past?
