I was rereading so I think he already knows. He was there when Lucy and Brandish talked about getting the key.

Even though that is not what I was expecting I absolutely loved this chapter. And moments like these are actually why I love Fairy Tail, Lucy and Nalu.

You know when something bad is happening to the female love interest and the story makes it about the male protagonist and how he is feeling? Yeah I hate that. It would have been so easy to make this chapter about Natsu and the angst he would have felt while fighting Lucy. It would have worked, fans wanted to see it, I wanted to see it. But insted it was about Lucy and her mermaid Mom. I appreciate that.

One of the many, many things I love about Nalu is that while Natsu is a very important part of Lucy's life as Aquarius did mention him separately from fairy tail, he is not an all consuming part of her life. At least for me this balance their relationship has is just as important as angsty moments between them. I'm not lie I wanted a bit more Nalu angst but Lucy's moments with Aquarius feels just as important.

After reading today’s chapter I noticed something interesting:

Aquarius mentions that it’s 100 years too early for Lucy to beat her.

Aldoron in the last arc told Natsu it was 100 years too soon for him to defy a God.

I can’t help but wonder if this is related, and I wonder if any other mentions of “100 years” is related too.

I’m not exactly sure why it’s significant, but I can’t help but wonder if it’s foreshadowing something big.

Such a short chapter!!! Ugh!!!

If Juvia ever gets married, Gajeel will be the one to give her away at the wedding because he's her longest male "family" member and Juvia would be made Godmother to his and Levy's unborn child or children.

thought i’d write us all some much needed sick!s/o headcanons for our favourite chaotic morons. enjoy!!

NATSU:

what?! you can’t be sick!! that’s not allowed!! you have to go on quests with him and the team!!

after he moves past the denial, it’s all out Panic Mode as he collects every known pill, ointment, syrup & vapour from the local pharmacist (who is still terrified of him)

flat out refuses to leave your side until you’re better, as in he’s sat on the end of your bed & insists on giving you piggybacks EVERYWHERE

ends up catching the same illness, & he gets it like 10x worse than you. his powers go haywire. everything is on fire

you end up having to nurse him back to health instead

LUCY:

probably has the most normal approach out of the team

immediatley identifies the sickness and supplies accurate (looking @ you natsu) medicine to help you get better

makes sure you’re drinking enough water & insists on lots of bedrest

keeps you updated on the happenings of the guild & any quests she’s been on, tries to keep your spirits up

amazing bedside manners. unparalleled. you will not get a better carer. might leave plue with you for company

GRAY:

on the outside he’s all “i’m sure you’ll get better in no time” but internally it’s much more of a “SHITSHITSHIT what if they die” mindset

tries to not get too worried about you but still comes home the next day with a massive bag of pharmaceuticals

makes the best herbal teas. even if you don’t like them, his are guaranteed to help

insists you’re bedridden. can & will do everything you need doing

doesn’t really say much, but refuses to leave your side until you’re better. catches the bug, too

ERZA:

will force you into being better

drags you on quests regardless because “fresh air is good for your health”

& if that doesn’t work you are immediately sentenced to a gruelling health routine with every viable medicinal concoction & immune-boosting food she can get her hands on

anyone with even a slight sniffle is not allowed within three feet of you in case they make you worse. she will die on that hill

also gets sick from being so close to you

WENDY:

you don’t get sick

it’s impossible

this girl is there with her healing magic in 0.2 seconds and you’re right as rain

it doesn’t matter if she’s just healed someone else & is exhausted, you aren’t allowed to be sick in her care

but, on the SLIM chance that you get sick, she’ll make homemade remedies (courtesy of porlyusica’s teachings) for you
