“Now hold on there, don’t try to get up.” His voice was smooth as he reassured. His hands rested on your shoulders and through the blur in your eyes, you could easily see Leon’s features looking down at you as he knelt beside you and pulled you into his chest. It felt so good to see him; it felt so good holding him; being in his arms with his hand supporting your head as he dug you closer to him. Warm. You were nearly speechless as he whispered, “It’s good to see you’re okay.”
Synopsis: It was entirely on accident. After discovering a file hidden in the basement of your university, a place that was once known as the state mental hospital notorious for its haunting stories of shock therapy and physical abuse amongst patients, you come to find that just more than that was done—the hard way. It's a good thing, however, that the right agent showed up.
Pairing: Leon Kennedy x Reader
Genre: Strangers to Lovers; blood and violence; flirting and mutual pinning
Chapter 12 is up!! Sorry I took so long!!!
🎧🎮😍
🎧 - THIS IS SO HARD 😭😭 I can’t pick one it’s impossible LMAO especially between op 1,3,4 and 6. But since I have to pick one, I’ll choose the very first one. Not only cuz it’s good, but I also love how it’s used in the final episodes in the first two season, omg it’s epic
🎮 - ooooo I love denki mystery, the designs are beautiful and the story is intriguing. I also love the matsunoir set (I’m a sucker for mafia aus, srry not srry) and also the steampunk au cuz of the designs keke
😍 - I had to think abt this one real hard LMAO but I think the scene that made love Osomatsu was ep 24 (y’know… THAT episode), cuz I can understand his feelings of loneliness when he sees everyone around him leaving, and idk it just made me even more attached to him 🤣
Thanks for the ask! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
OMG OMG 🤐💖💕 for the ask game!
Hhehehe let’s gooo
💖 - Since I have to pick one matsu, I’m gonna say Osomatsu, but I love them all so it is difficult 😭
🤐 - 00F I’m gonna say my least fav matsu is Totty… sorry my pink boi 😭 I don’t hate him, he’s just not at the top of my list
💕 - Omg I rlly love choukeimatsu (Osomatsu and Karamatsu) I just love my two eldest bois. But I also rlly love bakamatsu as well (Karamatsu and Jyushimatsu) the pachinko skit from season 1 kills me everytime 🤣🤣 they’re so dumb I love it
Thanks for the ask! ♥️♥️♥️
🧡🔥🤔🌚
🧡 - Homura is my fav side character, I just love and miss my girl 💔
🔥 - ooo this one is tough. Umm, I’m gonna say the soundtrack of the anime. I love listening to osts from games or anime, and this anime has an AMAZING ost. For example, my fav soundtrack from ososan is the ‘fishing pond’ track, and when I hear it begin to play in the background, it just sounds so soothing and relaxing, like a nice homey feeling, y’know? (I hope this makes sense 🤣)
🤔 - idk if this one has been talked about much, but I personally feel like Jyushimatsu has some king of attachment issues like Osomatsu. I mean, falling in love only for her to leave and never see each other again, that hurts. And that episode was the only time we genuinely see Jyushimatsu cry, and I think that whole experience just kind of stuck with him, now making him afraid that eventually everyone else around him is gonna leave someday too, and that scares him.
🌚 - honestly, just want to see my boys get married and actually settle down somewhere. Or at LEAST Jyushimatsu and Homura getting together 😭 they did not deserve that. But we all know that is just not gonna happen in the anime, especially after what they pulled with Osomatsu and nyaa. I STILL NEED ANSWERS FOR THAT TOO WTF
Thanks for the ask! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

Waking up again with his mind running on fumes. He hated the feeling, though he should be used to it by now.
Sitting up in his seat, Osomatsu groaned lowly as he felt a sharp stiffness in his neck and shoulders, his back also aching from the slouched position he had fallen asleep in. He rolled his neck slowly, sucking in a breath as it cracked in a few places.
His desk was scattered with loose papers and uncapped pens, as usual. Blearily peering at the scribbled words of his own handwriting, he frowned as his head began to ache, and he rested his palms over his eyes.
Taking in one long, deep breath, he pushed himself away from his desk and stood up, his right hand rubbing his sore left shoulder, staring down at a particular paper for a few seconds longer before forcing himself to leave the room.
A few steps down the hallway, he entered a room to the left — the bathroom. Flicking the light switch upwards, he flinched as the warm coloured light bulb filled the room in a golden glow. Osomatsu fumbled with the faucet as his eyes adjusted to the change in lighting, eventually turning it on and grabbing his toothbrush.
As he brushed his teeth, his tired gaze wandered around the area in front of him, landing on the small cup on the sink filled with a large tube of toothpaste and a spare white toothbrush. Beside the cup was a small tub filled with different facial cleansers, each a unique, fruity scent that used to fill the space next to him. Now, the air was stale.
He wandered out of the bathroom after a short while, dragging himself over to the kitchen to grab whatever was available to eat. Opening the fridge door, he wasn't surprised to see it almost completely barren, save for a couple of eggs and a carton of milk. Osomatsu tried searching for a spare plate to put his omelette on, but all his plates were dirty and stacked up in the sink, along with a majority of any other dishes and cutlery he owned. It was all a mess. There was even a pile of beer cans scattered in the corner of the kitchen by the bin, which he most likely wouldn't have noticed if he hadn't almost tripped on one of them.
It wasn't always like this. He knew that.
Osomatsu's hair was a dishevelled mess. His cowlicks wouldn't stand up the way they used to, and his bed hair wouldn't flatten down no matter how much he tried to smooth them out with water. Pausing with a blank look at the mirror, his hand still resting on the back of his head, he began to remember a time when there was someone there to nimbly fix his hair for him, fingers gently brushing through his hair, soothing him, bringing a smile to his face in the early mornings, just like this.
He could still feel the ghost of a touch hovering over his scalp. He frowned as he willed it to touch him, but it only disappeared.
The commute to work was as dull as ever. Sitting on the crowded train, being jostled back and forth between the sea of bodies around him, receiving the same odd looks he always got when he wore his brown detective suit, although maybe this time they were staring because of how unkempt he looked. It wasn't a bother to him anymore, though. What was the point?
His eyes were trained to the ground as he walked the rest of the way to his office building, a hand stuck in his pocket and keeping a tight grip on his phone, his fingers twitching every now and then as he felt his anticipation begin to spiral out of control. Upon entering the building, he didn't notice a man in a professional grey suit up ahead beginning to walk towards him, nervously fiddling with the silver watch wrapped around his wrist.
"Detective Osomatsu?" The man flinched, slowly bringing his head up to find a familiar face standing before him.
"Ah... Todomatsu... Good morning." Osomatsu cleared his throat, finding it deep and gravelly, scratching at his throat with each word spoken from his lips. Todomatsu frowned, hesitantly reaching a hand out towards his friend before placing it back at his side.
"We've been trying to contact you for a while now, detective. Did you get any of our emails or calls?" Todomatsu shifted his stance from leaning on his right leg to his left. A silent sigh left him as Osomatsu nodded, his eyes almost absent from the conversation entirely as he brought out his phone, staring hard at the dark screen.
"Osomatsu," Todomatsu tried again, "We really need your help on these other cases that have just been piling up in your absence. We understand you're in a... a difficult situation right now, but maybe working on something else will help get your mind off of things for a while —"
"How will any of that help..?" Todomatsu fell silent upon hearing the detective speak. "Don't you get it? I don't — I can't work on anything else until this one is solved." His low murmuring started sounding more and more frantic as he held his blank phone screen up to Todomatsu's face.
"I've been waiting, and waiting, for a phone call, or—or a text message, or something! That isn't from any of you! And I just... I don't have anything to go off anymore! All the leads, all the clues, they go nowhere! What else am I supposed to do?"
Todomatsu yelped as Osomatsu suddenly clutched onto the front of his suit, his dark eyes stormy and clouded as he now began screaming, everyone's attention now turned to him.
"She wouldn't just up and leave for no reason! It was only supposed to be one hour — I was only meant to be in this goddamn building for one fucking hour, if it weren't for you bastards taking up all my time, and by the time I got back, she —" He choked, his head falling low as the tears began to once again fall in thick streams down his cheeks.
"Now she's gone... I have no fucking clue where she could be, or who did this... Or maybe it's just all my fault she left... off the face of the earth, all because of me, because I'm not... good enough..."
His whispered begs for an answer fell short as his throat was overtaken by cries and suppressed sobs, clenching his jaw only for his whole body to shiver with unreleased tears, his hands becoming loose as he fell to the floor on his knees, knocking his hat off of his head to pull at his own dark tresses, hoping to feel something again, but it wasn't the same.
Todomatsu stood in silent shock, the grief rolling off of Osomatsu in waves, rendering the man useless and unsure of what to do or say. A hand suddenly clamped down onto his shoulder, startling him out of his own stupor.
"I-Inspector Choromatsu..."
"I'll take it from here," the man with a tight-lipped frown nodded, gently manoeuvring Todomatsu out of the way as he knelt down to Osomatsu's level. He eyed him for a moment from underneath his fedora before slowly taking a hold of Osomatsu's wrist. He carefully pried his fingers off of his hair, silently guiding the weeping man to his feet and out of the building, quickly sending a scalding glare back to all those who had stopped to stare, all of them jumping back to work.
Osomatsu didn't register himself being put into Choromatsu's car and being taken home. Choromatsu was very reluctant to send his friend to an empty home, where he knows he'll just feel worse about the whole situation, but he also remembered what had happened the last time he had tried to get Osomatsu to stay at his own home. He was thankful that Osomatsu's breakdown wasn't as violent as the last one had been.
"You have my number. Give me a call whenever you want, and I'll keep you updated, alright?" Choromatsu watched as his friend vaguely nodded, catching smaller and smaller slivers of Osomatsu's pale face through the crack in the door before it closed completely, leaving him out in the stony and cold hallway. He waited a moment longer before slowly turning away, glancing back one final time before disappearing down the elevator.
Osomatsu had wandered into his study again, staring holes into all the scattered papers covering his entire desk before fluttering to the floor, pooling around his desk and chair. He tentatively reached out for a manila folder laying in front of him, steadily opening the cover to flick through all the evidence, red writing scrawled all over the pages. Each one stating that none of the evidence matched up, something didn't make sense, he was getting nowhere, absolutely nowhere, why was nothing adding up? Why couldn't he figure it out? Why couldn't anyone figure it out? How did it all go wrong?
In a sudden fit of rage, he launched the folder across the room, the heavy weight of paper crashing against the floor. It was swiftly followed by another thud as Osomatsu swiped his arm over the desk, shoving everything onto the ground. A yell of frustration and grief tore itself from his lungs as he continued to rip and tear at every piece of red writing he could find, a flurry of paper floating around him as he continued trashing the room until he became exhausted.
He sat on the carpeted ground, finding nothing else to break so he forcefully grabbed at his head with his hands, heaving heavy breaths as red started to leave his vision. He spotted something else on the ground, instead; a picture.
Osomatsu froze, shaky fingers reaching out for the crumpled photograph and bringing it up to his face. He smoothed out the crinkles to reveal a beautiful, smiling face, the shining eyes he would always remember staring straight up at him. He traced over the plump and pretty lips, the locks of hair that framed the face of the woman he loved so enchantingly.
A name croaked from his lips, followed by a shuddering breath, and then fresh, hot tears. The picture blurred together as he brought it close to his chest, crushing it under his grip as he called the same name out again desperately, falling to the ground and curling into himself as his sobs filled the air.
His heart ached, painfully so, tear after tear being shed, his head throbbing violently, his whole body racking with stuttering breaths. He would lay there for hours, the afternoon light filtering through the window steadily turning darker and darker, leaving Osomatsu to cry himself to sleep, the picture still in his clutches, now stained with his tears.
