I found these from a long time ago, but I saw them again, and theyβre helping right now so
1) Keep headphones by bedside. When you wake up in the middle of the night
you don't want to live anymore put the buds in your ears and listen to whatever makes you
happy until you sleep.
2. Always have a pink or red marker in your purse or pencil case. When you're
by people and all you want to do is scream you can distract yourself by doodling all over
your arms, hands and legs. Keep a second marker for a friend, You never know who may
need it.
3. Make sure your kitchen is well stocked with tea or hot chocolate. Coffee is nice to wake
you up but nothing is soothing than a calm"" drink and a good book.
4. Relish in Netflix. If all you want to do is curl up and sob, watch your favourite television
program. If your eyes cant focus on your homework anymore, turn on a movie. Sometimes travelling to a different world is helpful.
5. Say that you love sornoone at least once a day. Your mother. your father. your sibling,
your friend. Say 'l love you' to yourself as well. I promise it will get easier to believe it.
6. GO long walks. GO without a destination. Walk in the early rnorning when the sun is rising or whon it's high in the sky. Walk to the beach, park, to a friendβs house,
until you can't walk anymore, and then head home.
7. Delete that boys messages and pictures. Do not spend time re-reading things that
just make you more upset. Delete his number as well, it may hurt to so but keep
reminding yourself: he does not define you.
8. Eat. Eat all day, every day. Eat until your tummy is full and happy and proud. Eat ice
cream and carrots. Eat noodles and apples. Eating win not hurt you or anyone else. Eating
will help make you feel whole again.
9. Wear your favourite coat, leggings or hair clip as much as possible and who cares if your
outfit isnt totally matching or in style, you feel comfortable then thatβs all that matters.
10. Growing up is good but so is being a little kid. Find that happy medium and enjoy it.
Color pictures and dance like you're 5 years old. Travel and wear high heels like you're 27.
Separate yourself from people who think that your attitude is weird. You don't need them
anyway. You only need yourself.
