There was a discussion I had with @schattenfell about some of the objects in the loading screen for QoT and I wanted to go into more detail in case ppl were curious. I recognized this object below the flowers on the left-hand side and sorta’ got excited. That’s a device used to strengthen grip for your hands. Each spring has a different tension and you basically start with lower tension and move your way up.

In a lot of martial arts, like Taekwondo, there are things we do called ‘techniques’. Each rank learns a different set, and at a certain level you learn pressure point attacking techniques. Basically, the stronger your grip is – the more successful you’ll be to disable your opponent. It doesn’t really matter if your opponent is taller/bigger than you.

An easy one to remember is the pressure point at the wrist (yuhl gyuhl), all you really need is your thumb and index finger and you can make someone cry and their entire hand tingle if you hit the pressure point correctly. So you can imagine if someone’s grip is super strong, it would have devastating effects.

So, here I am wondering which Queen of Thieves character would use that. And, I want to place my bets on Leon cause people at the market place wouldn’t look him in the eye. It would be awesome if Leon studied some sort of martial arts…I’m so excited and I hope Voltage releases his route soon!
