Haha It's Me Behind A Table!
haha it's me behind a table!

Hello! Massive thank you to all those who visited the table for chatting and purchases over the weekend! We had a great time at Bristol Comics Expo!
Photo reading: Tuk Tuk by Will Kirkby - it’s ace!
Treebeard has struggled getting work in Hollywood despite his role in LOTR. We got him a temp job being sandwich board guy. (really what happened is that I forgot to pack a extra stand, but did remember to bring a Treebeard action figure to hang out with)
We have 1 copy left of Alien Rendez-vous and Beyond Fantasy. They’re both listed on my Etsy.
Thanks again! See you at London MCM Expo and Manchester MCM Expo!! Sammy Prefer Tumblr? www.inspiredcomics.tumblr.com Prefer Blogger? www.inspiredcomics.blogspot.com

I feel it is time to confess. The only time this happened to me, I called the teacher 'Dad'.
My teacher was a woman. I'm not sure who was more embarrassed.

Here's a one-page preview of a comic I made this year, 'The Music Cupboard', featuring Poppet the House Hob!
As we approached the deadline for Mixtape Sammy and I were worried there wouldn't be enough submissions, so even though we'd already finished comics from the earlier deadline we both did a second one. As it happens right at the last minute we got a lot more submissions, so we needn't have worried, but I was already finished so hopefully we can use both!
I had a lot of trouble coming up with an idea for a second comic, so I asked Sammy for help. She said to try using characters I already had, and I'm glad she did because I ended up with a new Poppet comic! I hope that if I keep making these I can print them in some kind of compendium with Bad Fairy Bakery, or in a special Poppet issue of What's the Time Mrs Woolf?.
Sammy's posting previews of all the comics on the Inspired blog, if you want to see what the others are doing!

This is a little painting I did for my Grandma, on account of being a terrible granddaughter who forgot to make her a card this year. I wrote her a letter on the back.
I also remembered to scan it at various stages, which is something I've been meaning to do for a while. I'm not completely happy with the colours, I think I inked it too heavily and made the whole picture too dark. I'll do better next time.
Hopefully soon there'll be more comics and zines to show you, in time for Manchester MCM.

I decided to start putting my journal pictures up here instead of on flickr, because... I don't like flickr very much I guess, so here are some more doodles of my life.
These include some from when I first started working at the tea room, that weird face is behind the door in the prep room, for no apparent reason.
