Inktober 2016 - Day 8 : G-penIt Says Something About Spiders Personality That He Can Be So Happy About

Inktober 2016 - Day 8 : G-pen It says something about Spider’s personality that he can be so happy about bending a spoon when Nettle is lifting herself, him and probably half the house in the air without even really trying. I think I’ve drawn a variation of this picture for the last 3 Inktobers in a row. It’s probably fine as long as I use a different inking method each time.

Inktober 2016 - Day 19 : ink and water
I made this one a lot harder than it needed to be! I sketched it early in the morning when I was full of energy, but I had to go to BOTH day-jobs and didn’t have time to ink it until the evening when I was really sleepy and cursing myself for drawing something complicated (I hadn’t decided what the spirits should look like at that point). I finished inking it on a moving train I was so determined not to have to work on it after I got home. I’m surprised it turned out okay! Things look different through the bad eye.

Inktober 2016 - Day 20 : g-pen and markers Child psychics can be a danger to themselves as well as others.

Inktober 2016 - Day 21 : mapping pen
I wasn’t feeling well yesterday, so I could only manage a quick sketch with minimal shading. I also messed up Louise’s face but I do that so often that I’m sure she’ll forgive me. Autumn is a good time for fairy-spotting.

Inktober 2016 - Day 23 : brush pen I don’t have a good bead on what Trispin’s glamour looks like, so I was pretty pleased with the sketch for this! Then I remembered Inktober is supposed to be about getting better with ink so I valiantly attempted to ink it with my Pentel Brush Pen, probably the pen I have least control over. Thankfully it seems to look okay! I think the glamour just makes him look a bit cleaner.

Inktober 2016 - Day 3 : cartridge pen
‘Oh Meruch, you’re... so strong.’
Vekh, I hope you realise that if you embarrass him every time he agrees to carry you, he’s going to start saying no. (It’s true though, he is freakishly strong.)
I made a bad choice on how to ink this one! It looks fine now it’s finished, but it took ages to fill in the black areas with this pen. (I couldn’t swap to a thicker one because the ink wouldn’t match.) I have learned a lesson.
