Balloon-headed Tonguewalker

1 - beeg cushy brain and a stretchy skull that allows this creature to fill it's head with gas and float in the air like a balloon, virtually weightless

2 - this bony but hollow tail lets them balance without falling over, sort of like those desk ornaments that dip into the water and come back up again

3 - little hands, products of leftover evolution now used for gestural expression

4 - the articulate walking tongue, good at not just walking.. but hopping, slithering, and even climbing walls. The forked end can simulate many motions, including a propeller when the creature is airborne

5 - big ol eyes, very protrusive and good for 360° vision. Unfortunately this creature lacks eyelids, so they don't blink, but not to worry. They're covered in a thick mucus that keeps them safe from pathogens, drying out, and the elements

6 - gum gills, used for inflating their skull. This creature lives in a helium rich atmosphere, and can take big breaths of air and hold it to get off the ground. Their sinus cavity curves around the front of their brain to the lungs on top
