Her Laugh. Newt X Reader

her laugh. newt x reader
summary 📰: in which newt calms reader from her anger against gally
warning/s 📬: unedited, blue eyed thomas
slater’s note 📮: uhh this originally was a thomas fic but oops

gally could tell he was losing power just as much as anyone could. it was obvious he was no longer the center attention once the boy with pretty blue eyes entered the glade with chaotic curiosity for the truth with him.
gally was angry with the way thing were folding out before him, with the way things were changing. it was all right before his eyes happening so fast he couldn’t even do anything but yell.
you could see the anger inside of him, fuming to the brim as you stared intently, watching him go off about how thomas was breaking the rules and deserved to be punished.
you bit your tongue, resisting the urge to argue with the wall of bullshit he was building. he was completely ignoring the fact that even though he did break the rules, he saved two important people of your glade.
“the rules are the only thing that have kept us together, why now are we questioning that?” gally looked around the circle of the eight of you before looking back to newt, “you know alby would agree with me on this.”
“don’t bring him up,” you mumbled, shaking your head as rubbed your finger tips against your bottom lip.
“what?” gally raised his eyebrows as if taunting you, challenging you speak up against him again and with how close he leaned towards you, you would usually shut you right up but it only fueled your fire more.
you looked up to him, challenging him right back, “don’t talk about alby, gally. he’s not here right now, so you don’t know what he would agree with.”
“well someone here needs to state the obvious and that is the fact that of new greenie here needs to be punished.”
“yes, and that someone is newt,” you gave gally a pointed look, “there’s a reason you weren’t pointed as second in command.”
his eyes just about popped out of his head as he stared you down. it seem as though he was about to strangle you if you hadn’t exited the tent.
you felt heat rise to your cheeks as an unusual amount of feeling overwhelmed. you knew that was about to bite you in the ass near future because no one ever felt the need to stand up to gally but rather allow him to bitch it out. it never really was worth the fight.
“hey, wait,” you felt a hand reach your shoulder before rather roughly turning you around to face them, to face newt, “calm down, cowgirl.”
you shook your head as both of newt’s hands reached on both sides of your face as if steadying you in place. he smiled lightly, his eyebrows rising as if questioning if you were alright.
his eyes dazzled and it made you swallow roughly, “he’s going down too hard on him, newt, and if he doesn’t knock it off i’m gonna punch him in the gut.”
“settle down, alright?” he gave you a light pointed look, amusement twinned up and around his slowly forming smile, “you’re too pretty to worry about big old gally and his problem with the new greenie, okay? i’m starting to get worried he’s gonna strangle you before you can do it yourself.”
you rolled your eyes, nodding your head for no entire reason of agreement aside to bring peace of mind to newt. you laid your hand on his, slowly bringing it away from your rosy left cheek, moving it so you can hold it tightly.
he nods, satisfied with the simple nod, “alright, now before you do anything crazy... i want a kiss as a reassurance that you’ll somewhat listen to what i’ve told you.”
you rolled your eyes, shifting your head from left to right before reaching your hand up to the side of his head, rubbing his cheekbone, “you’re not getting a kiss that easy, babe.”
he smirked, his hands going back up to clutch your head tightly, shaking his head, “you know you’re really lucky i like you.”
you smiled, before giggling loudly, something that rarely ever happened and made newt smile even harder as he begun to press kisses all over your face and lightly on your neck.
your laugh became louder and louder and more heads begun to turn your way as the sweet noise echoed throughout the glade. your laugh was always nice to hear, it brought sweet thoughts to the young boys’ heads, reminding them of better things that went far from the glade and the maze.
“alright, alright, alright! i’ll kiss you,” you smiled widely, trying your best to pull away from his strong grip full of love.
“good,” he whispered, pulling away finally, waiting for you to lean in, pressing your lips against his. “alright, now try not to kill anyone, love.”
“cant promise anything.”

oh dear peter. louis partridge x reader
summary 📣: in which reader is a mermaid and louis is a foolish boy called “peter pan”
warning/s 🚫: swearing, my lack of mermaid knowledge, a short-short little story with no romance
slater’s note 🗯: i’ve been listening to pirate/mermaid inspired playlists on youtube and i wanted to make a peter pan story so here you go

“you never visit me anymore, peter.”
you gazed up at the young boy who was laid down against the tall rocks from above, his bare back pressed against burning stones while his arms were shoved behind his head.
“a boy has so much to do on this island, y/n,” he didn’t look down to you, “i got things to do and only have so much time for play.”
you rolled your eyes, dramatically flopping down against the rock you were propped up on.
all he did was play and tease the foolish pirate that was floated out all the way on the other side of the island. never work, and even if there was any, he would make his little lost boys do it for him.
“peter,” you whined, rolling onto your side, “you used to have all the time in the world for me... now all you do is fool with that silly pirate with a hook for hand.”
he stayed silent and you almost wondered if he heard you. you assumed he was only ignoring you. peter could never really ever deal with confrontation and either decided to ignore it or tell a silly story.
“i went to neverpeak mountain with a quart of pixie dust the other day and you’ll never guess what i saw here near the lagoon,” he was going with the silly story, a smile running up on his face as his back arched a little, “millions of neverbirds swooping around and picking down on something and you’ll never guess what it was.”
“what, peter pan?” you hummed, your lips pressed into a thin line as you begun to slowly play into his amusement.
“it was a pirate!” he called in a loudness as if rejoicing, his arms swooping up in the air, “they were eating him away, can you believe it, y/n? i wonder how he got all the way out here...”
he voice drew out slowly and lowly as he begun to wonder again like the first time he spotted the bloody and highly unusual boned man that was flat against a rock.
peter could still remember the loud but light and distant screams the resonated throughout the cove. it made him curious as he squinted before flying towards the messy scene.
“i remember that,” you mumbled, “nixie was the one who lured the man out.”
“she’s crazy for it,” he shook his head, tsking before he sat up properly, “but all you fish do silly things when you get lonely.”
you swung yourself up quickly, scowling up at him but he paid no attention to you, a plain smile on his face as he watched the sun begin to set.
“i’ve got to go little fin,” he stood crossing his arms before looking down to you, “i’ll see you when the sun reaches east and the cove begins to sink... maybe i’ll bring a lost boy or two.”
he nodded in fulfillment before flying off into the purple sky. you watched before shaking your head, you knew he was lying, you knew it, he knew it. he wouldn’t be back for at least a couple of months, or however long that was in neverland time, but he wouldn’t be back for awhile.
and when he did, it wouldn’t be for long, but he’d be there and maybe that time he’d kiss you like the first time you met his pretty boyish face.
“goddamn fairy boy.”

save me, poor boy. jack marrowbone x reader
summary 📣: in which reader is in danger and jack is the only one who thinks he can save her, but she might not be the one who needs to be saved
warnings 🚫: swearing, violence
slater’s note 🗯: i adore jack marrowbone

jack had never seen your cheeks so pale, yet so flush with a rosy redness high in your cheekbones. he pressed the back of his hand against your cheeks, allowing the coldness to seep deep into his own skin.
he looked back up from your frail body, eyes analyzing the atmosphere of green and blue melting together into cold air.
if only you had waited for him, and if only you had never even made a visit to him that day in the first place.
somewhere in the woods, his father was roaming around, waiting for him, waiting to kill him.
“jack, please, let us help you,” jane tried to force her way through the attic door, slamming her fists against the wooden door as did billy and sam.
jack forced their voices from his head as he marched back down the stairs, holding the case of money tightly in his hand.
he was ready, he knew what he had to do. and he wasn’t afraid, he couldn’t be.
stepping outside, he searched for the figure of the man, his father. his eyes rapidly grazed the field that was laid out before, looking, but finding nothing.
it gave him even more anxiety than before, he couldn’t find the man, he couldn’t find the murder and it was then realization struck him.
you.
right before he locked his siblings into the attic he heard your voice, he saw your figure hoping out of your car, a smile on your face as you made your way into the house.
you knew just as well as he did who his father was. you knew what he did, and what he would do if he ever found the marrowbone family, especially jack.
that’s why you took matter into your own hands, staring back at the man in the other side of the field with your own gun in hand.
“go away!”
he didn’t say anything in return, only stared back silently with a sick smile on the center of his face.
“i know who you are! i know what you’ve done!”
your mouth got you in trouble.
and following that man into the woods with out real knowledge of what he could do to you once alone, got you in real trouble, real danger.
“oh y/n, what did you do now,” he whispered lowly, pressing his knuckles against his chapped lips. he could see a bruise forming along your hairline, seeming to be the reason why you were out, hit by the butt of a gun.
“brave, but a fool. just like you.”
jack quickly flipped around, his hands tightly clasping the metal box full of cash, “don’t touch her... don’t hurt her anymore, this is between me and you.”
he stayed silent, sitting down on a low rock, raising his brows as if questioning what jack was saying is true.
“here, take the money,” jack handed the metal box off to his father who took it, still listening and seeming strangely understanding with calming eyes and facial structure.
he didn’t seem disturb at all, and that’s what scared jack.
“it’s yours, it’s what you came for, now go. you have no reason to be near the house, nor them. it was me who ratted you out and took your money. not them,” jack was breathless, on edge as to what the man would do, “take the money and leave us alone.”
the man stood up calmly, edging onto his feet causing the uneasiness in jack’s stomach to plummet in increase. once the man seemed to be content with his stance and thoughts, he rose the metal box, slamming it across jack’s face, sending the poor boy the ground.
your head throbbed with an extraordinary pain you had never felt before. you groaned feeling nothing and yet everything at once.
your fingers felt numb and you forced them up from the ground, mindlessly reaching for the stem of pain where is was all resonating from. you held your eyes tightly shut while rolling on your back. nothing felt good, and you felt like you were going to hurl.
following the marrowbone’s father in the woods wasn’t the greatest idea, and you almost forgot that was the reason you had ended up where you were. you were a fool and blinded by the idea of love, not wanting the man to do any more damage then he had already done.
once you fully came to your senses, eye lids open and body hunched on it’s side as your fingers laced into the grass, ready to push yourself to your feet, your ears filled with groans.
“jack...” your voice was barely above a whispered as your back arch, rolling further onto your side and onto your knees, eyes meeting two figures, one hunched over the other, choking and beating the struggling body beneath them.
your body felt woozy as you tipped back and forth on your feet, trying to catch balance as you stumbled over to the shotgun you had carried out in the full green woods, hoping to kill a monster... but failed.
you still had hope as your fingers tighten around the metal mouth of the gun, bringing it behind your shoulders before swinging it, the whole wooden butt hitting roughly against the soft skull of the father of your lover.
he hit the floor with a thud, his back pressed into the green carpet as he tried to catch his mind, realizing what was happening. and it was then you yourself realized the hole that was damaging the man’s throat. blood oozing from the gaping, rather large whole.
you clenched your jaw as the sounds of his choking from the large amounts of blood that filled his mouth reached your ears.
“do it, y/n, do it.”
you had never killed a person before, but your mind told you it’d be okay, just this once it’d be fine, that you had to do it.
you pulled back the back, placing your finger on the trigger before pushing against it, pushing past the wall in your heart that always compelled you to do the right thing. your mind told you this was an exception.
the bullet put another hole through his head, laying the man to rest, sending him to hell.
your fingers felt cold and the gun dropped from your hands as realization seemed to have hit you through all parts of your body, sending you into a spiral of shock.
your stumbled before landing into his arms, his own cold hands reaching for yours as he turned you to face him. and it was something that you needed as he seemed to have nodded in approval, knowing there was no other way, that he deserved it.
jack held you closely, his arms wrapping around you tightly, hands no longer with yours but gripping around your shoulders, tightly, as if making sure you were right there, right in his arms, safe.
and he closed his eyes tightly, listening to the quickness of both your heartbeats, wishing to god that you’d always be there, always.

i do what i have to do, part one. bellamy blake x reader
summary 📣: in which you point your gun at someone you never thought you’d point at
warning/s 🚫: swearing, gif not mine
slater’s note 🗯: idk if i wanna do a part two but probably will

“pike!”
nothing could bring you down from the high cloud of anger that filled your mind like a fog machine. the saturation and tension building up higher and higher, making your head want to explode as you marched closer and closer to the man you were about to kill.
“miss y/l/n,” a small smile filled his lips, a friendly one for an old friend, not catching onto your very angry tone, “to what do i owe the pleasure?”
it took you by surprise that he recognized you, let alone knew your name and voice. it had been so long and you were sure that the only thing he would’ve remembered of you was the simple delinquent that tried to pull him off of john murphy, something that seem like a distant memory from a past life.
“i’m not sure this will be a pleasure for you charles,” you drew back your arm once you stood less than a foot away from him, sending your fist for the center of his face.
just as fast as you pulled away from the punch, you tugged out your gun, aiming the barrel of the tool to his face, inches away from his nose. it made him twitch and raise his arms slowly in caution.
“tell me why you killed three hundred innocent people sent to protect us for no goddamn reason?”
“now, miss y/l/n,” his voice began to layer out in nervousness, low and almost shaken as he stared hard into your eyes, “don’t take me as a fool but those people were far from innocent and not sent to protect us.”
he added a little laugh to the end of his sentence, like it was common sense that indra’s army was more of a threat rather than a help, like you were a fool for believing the better of people.
“we can protect ourselves.”
“bullshit,” you say it fast and loud making him flinch before sighing in realization that it was only your voice and not the gun. sound was becoming numb and blending together the more he stood there in a weak point. “the only reason you’re alive right now is because i didn’t shoot you the first sight i had of you in the woods.”
“that’s different.”
“is it really?” you tilted your head slightly, questioning his logic with shooting before questioning.
the first time you you had really seen pike on earth, you hid in the trees, watching him and his crew stomp through the woods, looking for the rest of arkadia, gun aimed straight for his head.
if it weren’t for kane, he would’ve been dead in the forest floor, ridding you from the situation you were in right at that moment.
it’s silent as you stared at him roughly, eyelids scrunched and only revealing so much of your angry pupils, “the last time i checked you said use your resources, not kill them.”
your referral to the class he had taught just before you were sent down to the ground made him hesitate, his eyes finding the ground as he tried to think of a way to back himself out of the deep corner he was already in.
“it was not your decision to kill those people,” you sucked in a breath, “you had no fucking right-“
“y/n?”
you almost swore aloud as you heard his voice and then saw his sweat gleaming face full of confusion. you knew you’d run into him, but you prayed he wouldn’t butt into your chaotic arrival so you wouldn’t have to shoot him too.
“bellamy, go away.”
“y/n, don’t shoot, you don’t understand-“
“bellamy, don’t think i won’t pull a gun on you too,” you glanced at him, hesitating to look away from your target who was slowly lowering his hands.
he thought bellamy was going to save him and it made you uneasy as to why pike thought that. it was becoming very obvious that the man knew something between the two of you with the way nervousness was beginning to escape his exterior.
“y/n, think for a moment,” bellamy rose his arms while slowly moving towards you causing you to act out of impulsion, raising another gun quickly, pointing it in his face just as pike.
“y/l/n, you don’t understand. we had to do it, they would’ve killed us if we hadn’t killed them first, it wasn’t a risk i was willing to take.”
“no, you killed them because you were scared, pike,” you watch his arms slowly go back up, falling right back into a place of vulnerability. “and because you were scared, you put a target on our back, you killed every single one of us.”
“y/n, just listen.”
“bellamy, shut up,” your head knocked toward his direction, a warning look feening on your face, begging him to keep his mouth shut because you were so close to the edge of pulling one of the two triggers in your hands, “shut up.”
“you’re making a fool of yourself, miss y/l/n,” pike’s voice rose an octave, deepening as if to intimidate you, but you were still the one with the gun, “put the weapons down and we won’t be forced to shoot you.”
“go ahead. you shoot me, guess where the bullet of my gun goes? your head.”
“y/n, please, put the gun down”
“listen to bellamy, y/n,” his voice drops again, this time into a more soothing tone, “bellamy’s always been one to trust, right? so why question his ways now?”
you narrowed your brows slightly, curving your head to give him the strangest look, like you were baffled as to why he would say something like that.
he caught on to your questioning look, his facial features easing as if telling you to hear him out, but you didn’t want to do anything along the lines of doing so.
“look at how many times bellamy has saved you, kept you safe... you’ve never questioned him and his ways before so why do it now? he’s trying to keep you safe.”
“i’ve never questioned bellamy before because he was never under the influence of a egotistical asshole who thinks violence is the answer to everything,” it was a little biased as bellamy was the exact same way but at least he had a little heart to him.
when you first met bellamy, it took everything in you not to strangle him and every decision he made, but as time continued on and he got used to his environment and role, he became tolerable and no longer made decisions that only benefited him, but more or so what was good for his people. you found a good friend.
but now, you hated how he seemed to be backtracking to the slick back asshole dressed in a guards uniform with a stupid smirk and taunting remarks.
“y/n, you trust me?”
“not anymore,” you eyed bellamy from the side, seeing his heart dropping through the core of his eyes. hurt. “how could you do this?”
“i had to.”
“no, you didn’t,” you shook your head, voice filling with hurt as well.
“think back to mount weather, y/n. think about how everything bellamy did, was for you.”
you frowned, your eyes going back to pike, “bellamy didn’t give a shit about me-“
you felt a sudden pressure on your chest as your arm was swung up in the air, the gun firing as your finger pressured onto both triggers.
you hit the ground and realization came upon you once you realized bellamy laid on top of you, one of his arms wrapped around your waist while the other gripped your one arm tightly, the one that was pointed at him.
you lifted your head off the ground slightly, not hearing anything but silence, wondering what had happened.
and to your wish, you shot the man of violence.
...but in the shoulder, and he laid on the ground with people beginning to swarm him. it was then did the silence become loud and noise slowly begun to fill your ears like water.
you felt winded. the pressure of bellamy hadn’t helped either for his whole body weight was pressed against your chest and stomach.
you groaned, hands reaching up to press against his chest but all you could do was squirm from underneath his weight before he grabbed onto both your arms, pinning them above your head.
you let go of the gun you shot pike with, allowing it to fall to the ground, finally falling to the pressure of his intense influence on your body.
“do anything and i’ll kill you.”

as someone who’s been in the kind of relationship (if you can call it a relationship bc we weren’t actually dating- it’s complicated) that you wrote about in “like clockwork” i just wanna say that you nailed it.
the whole concept of ‘the fact that it’s clockwork and we just have to get through the bad and we’ll get back to the good’ is. agh. so accurate
i wanted to stay anonymous because i’m for some reason paranoid that this’ll get traced back to me irl but i just wanted to say that i really resonated and ty for writing it because it was really well written 😌
hi bae! completely understand your reason for staying anonymous and i would just like to say thank you!
i also am glad you’re out of the relationship that you resonated with and i’m sorry you had to go through that. you deserve better and i hope you are doing well!
anyways thank you again, i was kind of nervous about posting it but yeah.
