Friendly reminder that yesterday when my mom took me to Walmart she left me alone in the toilet paper section and this guy started hitting on me and I said “Sorry, I’m a lesbian.” and he was like “Oh my god I’m so sorry I thought you were a boy.”

It’s hard to say this… I’m not sure if I can find the right words to say that’ll make you feel better. Honestly, I don’t even think words are strong enough to even express the way I feel. Death is both something that fascinates me, but also fear. It’s a subject that is a natural occurrence in our lives, but it’s never really easy to cope with when it does come. I don’t want to die, but I do nothing for myself to prevent it. I make the wrong choices for my body, for my mind, for my heart, and yet I’m still here… Why?

Why?

“Why” is the question that often lingers in my head.

“Why” is the question I ask myself when I try to get out of bed.

“Why” is the question.

Always… Why.

But it’s something I can never truly find the answer for.

But with those questions that I can’t answer myself, I find them in others.

If not for me, then for you.

You keep me grounded, you keep me safe.

You are the reason why.

Even though I couldn’t find the answer to “why” within myself, I found it in you.

And maybe one day, the answer that I see in you, is also the answer I’ll find in me.

One day I want to ask,

Why?

And answer with,

Because I can.
