If you abstain from voting and a party get in that take rights away from somebody you love then that person not only has the right to tell you to stfu, but also has the right to treat you with as much apathy as you've treated the election.

Also, "all parties have good and bad points" DOESNT APPLY if the bad points TAKE PEOPLES RIGHTS AWAY. I shouldn't have to explain that to you, and if you disagree you need to have a serious think about why that is and why there is so much hate in your heart. If the decision can only be between "fully removes rights" and "slightly removes rights", then the choice is still clear.

And remember, if you cant vote because of age or other reasons you can still get involved in petitions and protests.

In the UK, if you think "the rights issues are only relevant to the US" you are WRONG. Please actually read the FULL manifestos of the party you are voting for, not just read one bit and decide.
