Five things I love about myself (and this will be hard for me to do):

My smile

My boobs

My passion and excitement for the things I love

The fact I never give up, even when I'm dead when I've hit rock bottom - I may fester there for a while but always pull myself back up again

My cooking. Li says it's black magic how I can just open a couple of kitchen cupboards and make a meal

Four things you're excited for

Finishing unpacking and getting to spend the rest of my life with Li

More tennis, more opportunities to watch Carlos and/or Jannik play and hopefully going to try and attend some matches IRL next year

My next university module starting in 3 weeks - I'm doing a Classical Studies BA part-time distance learning (Open University) and this year is a history module called Early modern Europe: society and culture, 1500–1780

Three people you care deeply about and why

Li - my fiancee. We're coming up on the 4th anniversary of our first online interaction which is cool. So in 2020 she was posting some fucking fantastic SG-1 OT3 fic for Kinktober, I started commenting and we ended up having conversations in comments, then I messaged her on Tumblr in the December and we haven't stopped talking yet. She's absolutely My Person, accepts me for who I am and isn't fazed by my disabilities, she's calm and nerdy and gorgeous and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with her.

Natalie - one of my best friends. We met through Supernatural fandom in like 2006, 2007, met in person at a Leverage convention in Portland in 2010 and have been pretty inseparable ever since. Well as inseparable as two people can be with an ocean and an entire continent between them. But we went on holiday together every year until 2019, and we still talk pretty much daily. She's a huge nerd and we share so many sci-fi fandoms, she's one of the most caring & generous people I know, and she's like my fucking Buffy.

Dragon - another one of my best friends. We met at a gig in 2008, ran into each other at a con a couple of weeks later and only stopped going to gigs and cons because of that wee pandemic. She's crafty and nerdy and caring and fun and one of those people who will share the things she loves with you, or things she finds that makes her think of you
