I’m not here to teach (or educate) anything to anyone but only as a reminder about the benefits of nature which, has its own limits. Wilderness cleans our air, filters our water and provides home for human as well as for wildlife. So it is crucial for humanity, which is already to blame, to bring radical changes today before it’s entire extinction tomorrow. That is my only intention here folks. So far, this is the second biggest Northern Raven feather found from the latest excursion. Even with my eyes wide shut, just by the smell, I can guest it is one. Definitely going right away in my collection.

Today was the time to install our simple homemade suet for birds near the Blue Jays feeding station. You can easily customize it by adding ingredients of your choice and it's much more affordable than buying one. This one is simply made of animal fat and small pieces of meat from our local butcher. It is free of preservatives, dyes or any additives that could be harmful to birds.
All kind of birds stay around here for the winter and it is why, if you love birds like we do, it's necessary to give them fat to help them maintain a high level of calories and energy when they need it the most.
