February 2 - L Lawliet - Sweets

L had been overworking himself again. He had been wrapped up trying to figure out the Kira case for days, barely taking any breaks. You do realize that Kira is dangerous, and that he very much so needs to be put behind bars. However, L needed to take care of himself as well.

Now usually that’s where you come in, as his s/o, you’ve taken it upon yourself to make sure he gets enough food, water, and rest as a normal human being should, well as close as you could get anyways. Except this time, he was so deeply immersed in this case he’d snap at anyone who tried to intervene.

At first you thought you’d maybe done something to bother him, so you sent Watari in for you. Unfortunately he came out with the same result as you had gotten for the past few days.

Growing tired of his snappish ‘later’s and responses you opted to try one last time.

“L? Honey? Maybe it’s time to take a break and get some sleep? It’s 11pm.” You hoped the answer would be different this time.

“Can’t you see I’m doing something important here Y/n?” The annoyance evident in his voice.

Taken aback by this new, albeit slightly more painful response, you’d decided. Fine. If that’s how he wants to be, that’s how it’s going to be.

Over the next day you had slowly taken away all his sweets and moved them to the bedroom, stopping Watashi from bringing him any replacements.

“Y/n!” L’s loud call rang through the halls from the living room.

Quickly making my way over to the chair L was curled up in, you barely had time to open your mouth to respond to him, he cut you off with his demands.

“Give me my sweets back!”

“You’ll have to catch me first!” Smirk on your face, you booked it down the hallway with L close behind you.

Making a sharp turn you quickly hid behind the bedroom door, L had yet to stop himself and went crashing into the the bed.

Flying tackling him, you yelled, “Watshi! Now!”

Watashi quickly locked the door from the outside, making sure L couldn’t leave to get back to his work.

“Y/n what are you doing? Stop that. I have to get back to -umph” You effectively cut off his sentence by shoving a piece of strawberry cake into his mouth.

You kept shoving sweets into his mouth every time he tried to protest about being trapped in the bedroom. At some point he stopped arguing and just opened his mouth for bites so you could feed him.

“I’m sorry” L almost whispered.

“For what love?”

“For being so mean to you, Kira just gets on my nerves” He said it so softly, and the moment you looked into his wide eyes, how could you not forgive him?

“It’s okay sweetie, let’s just rest now, okay?”

“Okay” he agreed.

You rolled off of him, to lay down next to him, lowering your guard. That was a bad idea. The moment you relaxed, Lawliet had scooped some frosting onto his finger and spread it across your cheek. Letting out a sharp gasp at the unexpected frosting assailant, you quickly grabbed a nearby cupcake and smashed it against your sneaky boyfriend’s face.

“FOOD FIGHT!” You yelled, quickly rolling away from him and grabbing a pillow as your defense.

Needless to say, you spent the rest of the day having fun with L and getting him to relax. You both may be covered in sugary delights, but spending time with him, the love of your life, was oh so sweet.

L missed you. You told him you were going out with your friends earlier to the cute little café that opened up down the street recently. Even though you’d only left about ten minutes ago, he couldn’t help but miss your presence.

So he decided there could be no harm out of stopping by to make sure you were okay. Before he had even realized it, he had already pulled on a coat to combat the cold winter weather and was already at the door of the little café.Taking a small breath to steady himself, he hesitantly put his hand on the door and pushed it open.

The coffee shop was adorned with festive decorations, yet to be taken down from the holidays, the strong aroma of coffees and hot cocoa filling his nose. L looked around, finding you at a table in the corner, laughing with 3 other people, who he assumed are your friends. You look so beautiful when you laugh.

L walked over to you, and gently tapped your shoulder. Your eyes lit up with surprise as you quickly lept out of your chair to give him a hug. Dragging a chair over for him to sit next to you, you looked back over to your friends,watching as they all gave you slightly puzzled looks.

You realized it was because they hadn’t met him yet, so it’d be the perfect time to make some introductions.

“So everyone this is my boyfriend, Ryuzaki. Ryuzaki these are my friends.” You said, gesturing back and forth between the people. You were about to say something else when you were quickly cut off by the shouts of your friends.

“WHAT” all four of them shouted simultaneously.

“You better not hurt her or else!” One yelled.

“I have no plans to ever do that” You were taken by surprise at his sweet words. Smiling happily, you looked over at him, and held his hand, knowing he wasn’t the best in social situations. The one sitting next to you leaned over and whispered in your ear.

“Why is he so hot, nice catch Y/n”You smiled softly at your friends’ behaviors as they began asking him questions and teasing the two of you.

L ended up staying the whole time as your friends didn’t mind him being there. The, now five, of you had fun staying till the sun started to set. You all had to part ways for the time being, but you couldn’t wait to spend time with them again.

You were happy that your friends had approved of L and L of them
