I'm officially on a TERF block list, I've never felt so accomplished.

Reading a textbook chapter on emergency preparedness and of course they threw in the potential of biohazards, including smallpox. My first thought was 'but we have a vaccine for smallpox' and my second thought was 'No one under the age of 50 is vaccinated though' (they stopped regularly vaccinating in 1972) and that was a terrifying thought.

I'd bet good money that if Katie Ledecky started identifying as trans and competing against men in the Olympics, TRAs would change their minds pretty fast about pushing for legislation allowing trans people on opposite sex sports teams. I've heard there are men who won't even train in the same pool as her because she is so fast that it's intimidating.

To the person who said hospitals are struggling for nurses rn, I 100% believe you but that is not true across the whole US. There are states with awesome nursing unions where nurses make damn good money (even in comparison to cost of living), especially in the upper midwest. In MN and WI, a BSN with no experience starts out making between 70k to 80k, but if you go somewhere like Mississippi, Kansas, or Kentucky, you can say goodbye to 20k or 30k of that.

Anyways, I'm loving all the people demanding good working conditions and refusing to work for people and companies that treat them like shit.
