July 25 Message from Wafaa

Wafaa has made the difficult decision two days ago to raise her campaign goal from €50k to €60k, because of a series of aggressive iof bombings in Khan Younis that started in the early morning, extremely close to where Wafaa's children and grandchildren were (details linked in the post). They desperately need money for food and supplies for relocation to a safer place to live.

Wafaa has been largely bed-bound for the past two days because of paralyzing fear for her family's safety but also because of her own debilitating illness. As many people know, Wafaa evacuated for her own health in November of last year to get treatment. And yet Wafaa is now skipping medication and doctor's appointments for months just so she could send all the money she earns back to her family. It is up to us to help them raise whatever we could to lessen Wafaa's burden.

Here is a message Wafaa has sent to me to relay to all of you:

"Evacuating by myself was the hardest thing I had done. After going to Egypt, I suffered a lot in loneliness during my illness. Feeling pain and not being able to talk to anyone about your pain, so you feel lonely and alienated when you suffer and do not have money for treatment. It's hard to pay money on a house that I could live in. You always feel the desire to embrace your family and smell their scent, and the most difficult thing is to hear on the news about bombings near them. When you struggle to reach them but are unable to reach them due to the lack of means of communication. You stay up all night exhausted and tired, crying alone and in pain alone. I don't like to explain this pain to anyone. But this is my reality for months now.

I'm really very tired and I'm trying to get back to my strength, because I want to be strong to make a post about my children's campaign, but also my brother and sister's campaign." For the past few months, I’ve had this silly little headcanon/scenario for the 4th Birthday Line card art (the original, not the groovies) that I want to share now that we have everyone.

I like to imagine these pictures are like, official pictures the museum staff took of them. And considering this is a very fancy looking museum, uhhh, roll text:

Two Museum Workers:

“Wow, a visit from students of the prestigious Night Raven College!” (What could possibly go wrong?)

“Ok, I got the camera! Let’s take their photos!”

“Alright, beautiful! Perfect!”

“Excellent! Wonderful!”

“Ah lovely!” 

“This is easier than I thought!”

“Is- is that a macaron? I’m sorry, we have a strict no eating policy. Did he come in with that?”

this map has been stewing in my mind for years i think and i finally wrote it down in the illegible spaghetti way that i always do let's GO

lilia is not in the polycule he's just playing his own game of collecting sons. everyone is his son. he's also going to watch the drama because who doesn't love a soap opera playing out in real life he's got front row seats to the divorce vortex.

cater/trey/rook/vil are the ultimate four way polycule but also oh god theres so much going on there.

cater and trey are a ride or die duo but also trey knows cater sometimes isnt completely open with him but trey has a very passive nature to him as we've seen in book 1 and when he mentions cater's wish to himself in the starsending event... but theyre still close and care for each other a lot and i will die defending them if i have to fjdklsjfds

rook and vil oh my god rook and vil. they are so married. and so dramatic. and so. sdkfjsdkljf a little divorced because rook is also in love with the biggest rival of vils life but that is NOT enough to break their marriage. love finds a way. somehow. fdskjfjksdlg

rook and trey beloved science weirdos oh my god every time theyre on screen together theyre so funny. i love odd friendships. science marriage real.

cater canonically flirted with vil even tho it got somewhat censored in engtwst and was partially probably for clout reasons HOWEVER, to ME it's also for bisexual reasons. vil is canonically very pretty and caters like yeah 🧡🧡🧡 vil can see through when cater's being more superficial BUT ALSO they have genuine moments of getting along!!! like in events, beanfest 2 and the puppet one that's not out in eng yet. no spoilers here but there is a bit in puppet event that has me so vindicated on how they really do work well together and respect each other!!!!!!! into the polycule you go.

vil and trey,,, gestures to vil's lab coat story klsdjflksd they get along and it's cute. everybody loves trey.

the extreme difference between how malleus reacts to cater bothering him vs rook bothering him or even just Talking To Lilia is so funny. like he gets along with rook sometimes but in those two pe scenes hes SO aggro he wants that twink OBLITERATED he is going to KILL ROOK HUNT. but he will play tag with cater :^)

leona is the king of divorce. he is divorced to everyone he touches . he invented divorce. he's turbo divorced with vil and malleus because he and vil are just sooooooo. fsdkjfskdlg when therye on screen together it's like passive aggressive but mostly just aggressive bitching and bullying. theyre so funny. they have this energy of like "we have Tension but also i am going to kill you. i begrudgingly respect your abilities but i will only say so with layered insults." like the way vil says "so leona's got a pretty face but that's ALL he has going for him" like. multiple times. why does he keep doing that.

and then whatever he has going on with malleus is so funny. like malleus seems like hes a smug little bitch having fun with the banter [again he wants to Destroy Rook in those PE stories, but leona's blatant insults i feel like he's more teehee you stupid bitch >:)] and leona's just so pissed mad angry forever he's like no i need this dragon fucker DEAD for EXISTING !!! but i think malleus' having fun with the fellow teen experience of stupid razzing

leona and cater are giving me subtle divorced vibes in that one scene in book 2. listen. i have headcanons. ive talked about it. moving on 🚶

idia is so funny. why are his opinions about everyone around him either "oh god hes ultra tier scary" or "he's so sparkly dazzling handsome beautiful". he does this often with no filter and it's so funny. i like that he and leona played chess for like hours or whatever in that one birthday vignette but i forget which one lol i think it was idia's union bday or something

do i have more to say. ive been thinking about them for hours and also years. i can and will talk about them forever i think they are So funny. this is just a messy summary of it all i'm barely scratching the surface i simply cannot go into full detail or this post will Never End GOODBYE!!!!

Riddle's mom is his abuser. She prevents him from having a proper social life, tells him lies about food consumption, and forces an extremely schooling curriculum on him. This is very clear, but I was thinking about what kind of abuser she is.

There a probably some people who headcanon her to think she is doing the best for him, but I don't quite think that is right. You could think that her strict rules on food for him could be her trying to keep him healthy UNTIL you remember she is a doctor. She is a doctor, so she has to know all the food rules she is giving him, for example Riddle not being able to have any sweets, is BS. She literally just wants control of him. She is an abusive control freak. But the interesting thing is that she could still think she is loving him. A lot of abuser report that they thought their want for control of a person was love for said person.

Phones aren't allowed in class, but the freshmen still had a way to communicate when something was needed.

Deuce had spilled colors on himself while in Crewel's class again and Ace was desperately trying to clean up the evidence to avoid the professors ratting them out to Riddle. Yuu was, once again, trying to make sure Grim wasn't trying to eat toxic chemicals.

When Ace pulled off his gloves, to grab a paper towel, he noticed the spatter of green and yellow coloring on his forearms. He found it odd; usually the only thing that showed up on his skin, at this point, were bruises and various cuts that weren't his. When Riddle collared him, for the third time since Monday, he'd see all of his friends scramble to cover their necks to hide the embarrassing marks.

But this? This was beautiful.

However, from their groupchat, it appeared the others were just as confused as he was:

does anyone know why ma forearms are covered in green and yellow? It's not a burn, bruise, paper cut, or an open wound. Is it a chemical? Deuce, Ace, and Yuu are in chemistry. Since my metal isn't irritated, it can't be any chemical 🤔 It's definitely not an acid or corrosive 😶 IF ONE OF YOU FOUND A KNEW WAY TO GET HURT, IT'S GOING TO BE TROUBLE FOR ALL OF US. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE OKAY.

He picked up his phone. He decided to answer for Deuce himself since said card soldier was still washing away the spatter in the bathroom during their in-between classroom run.

deuce just spilled some coloring agents from class hes fine guys just washing them away ... ... ... Do you think we can start writing notes on each other? When we can't use our phones? someone test this shit out.

As the three of them, Deuce, Ace, and Yuu, stepped into their next class, they rolled up their sleeves and found a wall of their friends' handwriting all over their forearms.

Testing, does this work?

Despite the hardships that came with hiding the bruises, dodging the cuts, and the embarrassing injuries they can't remember getting, it was a comfort to know they still had a means of communication. Even when they didn't have phone, they would still have each other.

Although, it did take a lot of effort to not laugh at Ortho's final edition to their writing:

As much as this is a wonderful discovery, we should limit the amount we write as my school gear is still metal. And, because it's metal, the handwriting still shows :(

He bit his lip, to make sure he did giggle, and wrote his own comment:
